Prospects still evaluating the Vols during the spring evaluation period

The discussion of introducing players to making good cuts was a pretty strong indictment of the previous staff.

Martin has told them that they will not play if they do not play disciplined and hard defense.

There is also a nice hint in the article about the usefulness of being able to talk about former college teammates in the NBA currently and former NBA teammates they are still friends with. Very encouraging.

+2 ...Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! "...Hey team, here's a thing called Fundamentals. It's a new concept to you, I know, but let's try not to get too confused..."

Keady quote: (2003)

"I told them, 'If you don't want to play defense, transfer,' " Keady said. "I told the incoming recruits, 'If you don't show up ready to play defense, I'll sign the papers that release you from your scholarship.'

Good article. The more I read and hear about this coaching staff, the more confident I get thinking we made the rigt choice with Coach Martin. Only time will tell but so far, all indications are that he is a class act and seems to have a great plan regarding building this program.

Interesting analysis of our team from the view point of a new coaching staff. We can all agree that they didn't know what a good shot was and didn't know how to run an effective half-court offense.

talking about former teamates played or playing in nba ,hire one of them, ala calamari with hot rod striclen on his staff and he probally doesn,t do anything ans then there is this deal which should be a recruiting violation labron james being around at uk midnight madness and practices and games,he has no ties to uk why does labron recruit for uk,he might not go to recruits houses but its obvious why cal has him around, the sec and ncaa should watch that crap

Don't get your hopes up too far. We still have this glaring hole at PG, and our new offense does kinda revolve around the sets being RUN by a capable PG. Washpun seems to be a Goins type player as in a great perimeter defender but lacking on the offensive end. Is Trae the solution to this problem? Only time will tell, but losing C Jones is gonna hurt us in a bad way

I'd say PG is the least of UT's worries at this point. Finding scorers and shoring up the post are the glaring deficiencies at this point. Golden and Washpun will be serviceable PGs.
