Here's a link to an article about Kamara...

Don't know if already posted....but I am posting it here because it shows how much he had to grow up and become a TEAM player....The OPPOSITE of what some self-described superstars are willing and able to do!

Tennessee Volunteers running back Alvin Kamara has come long way since Alabama Crimson Tide days

I think this quote ultimately characterizes the TEAM atmosphere Jones and staff have established!!!

"Me and Jalen understand our strengths and what we can bring to the offense," Kamara said. "It's going to take both of us along with John Kelly. We all know each of us deserve carries, so there's not any animosity. It's not taking carries away from each other, but sharing the load."

GO VOLS!!! :salute:

I'm just waiting for Kamara to leap a defender and flip and land on his feet for a long TD run. The guy has great balance.

I don't know if we get the flip but, I'd bet there's about an 90% chance we get the hurdle and TD. You know he wants that. Hurd wants to absolutely truck someone and then rip off a good run for a TD. I bet we get this also.

There are so many great Vols on this team it's insane. I don't ever recall a year with more players with this much character since 98. And even that team is getting a run for its money with these fine young men.

He's a great young man. Lays it all out there. All respect for him and all of our first class guys. Proud to be a Vol.

That's why this team never gives up. They believe in each other's abilities and leave the ego at the door.

I've really grown fond of watching him play this year. No matter how great of a play he makes on the field, he seems to always quietly make his way over to the bench and remained focused on the bigger picture of the game. This is in contrast to someone else making the big play, where he is always going crazy and first in line to celebrate with that person. Shows a lot of class and maturity. All of the leaders on this team behave this way and I'm really proud of them.

When this staff wants a recruit, that means he's passed a high threshold for character, intelligence and work ethic.

I think being recruited by this staff adds at least half a star to the estimate of how the player will perform as a player over his college career.

Over the off-season, the accumulated effect these guys then have on each other--pushing for increased effort, elevating their standards--is worth another half-star in realized potential.

I'm proud of all of them. I am glad he mentioned John Kelly. I've been excited about his strengths for a long time. Sure hope he keeps getting substantial reps this season.
