what has you down on them?
I'll mow down a hooker in your honor lol. But you are right that they do have the clout to set industry standards and they aren't making any "team consumer" decisions so far.Just anti consumer stuff. No disc, 80 dollars for a lite version and 100 for the real version, and now they want people to pay for Netflix to watch a preview. A microtranaction for an advertisement basically.
I know there’s no world where the game fails, rockstar games are the one single player game where even the most casual gamer will buy without question. And to a degree they’ve earned that reputation. They make quality games, no argument there. Some of my favorite games of all time are GTA SA and GTA 4.
But I don’t think just because you have a good track record of quality, you should start to act like your **** don’t stink and get a huge ego.
Some will argue it’s justified because of how much they spent making the game, I’ll argue nobody asked them to spend that much. Plus I understand the reality is, it’s more of the parent company Take Two (who also owns 2K surprise surprise) than it is probably Rockstar themselves making these decisions.
To me, I’m just not going to put one game above t he health of the entire industry. I don’t care what game it is, I don’t agree with anything they’ve announced for this game tbh.
I know I’ll be in the minority, but and that’s cool. I have thousands of other options, I’ll be fine while everyone else is running over hookers and such lol.
And I don’t care what anyone says GTA V was mid by their normal standards. lol RDR2 was great though.

Yeah, I don't usually complain about slog in a game but I was having a fun time until the last 10 hours of RDR2 with how much unnecessary slog the game had.I'm just the opposite haha. GTA V is my #1 pick for greatest video game ever. I thought RDR2 was less than mid lol. I almost hated it because it was such a slog.

Yeah, I don't think Niko can be topped lol.I think I gravitate towards characters a lot and RDR2 just has some amazing characters and voice acting in general. The GTA V trio you play as, I could not stand Trevor or Michael. Trevor was a bit too over the top annoying to me and Michael just has the personality of a sponge. Lol But how do you follow the greatness that is Niko from GTA IV. Franklin was alright but still kinda mid tbh.
Yeah, that's the console version. They are struggling to keep 30 fps on XBox and barely hitting 40 fps on PS. That's why I'm waiting for PC release. They had the same issues when GTA 5 came out on console. After a couple years they were able to keep the framerate around 60 on console.huge leak occurred today and game looks mid as hell. Good day as far as I’m concerned

I think the leaks, especially this morning's, look great. No idea how people are comparing it graphically to GTAV and RDR2, it's leaps and bounds more impressive.
