I rented it the other night on Blu Ray and I liked it, probably the best movie I have seen since The Dark Knight, I just didn't like the ending...

You know it was his intention to get shot, to sacrifice himself for his Asian buds?

The ending was the best part. The silly dialog throughout the flick was what I thought sucked.

Yeah I understood why he did it...I guess I was just expecting something else but all in all I thought it was good

Yeah those are for sure on my list now...Matter of fact I caught one of the Dirty Harry movies the other night after I watched Gran Torino, it was good

Kinda off topic a little bit off topic as far as the thread goes but I was watching an old Dukes of Hazzard episode on Season 3 and if it wasn't him the guy has a twin but I would have sworn Ron Pearlman was on the episode I watched...I know in season 5 Sid Haig was on the show too

The movie was funny to me and the ending predictable. The only other actor in the entire movie that was worth a flip was the girl next door. Overall, i give it a 2 out of 5 stars.

I thought that chick was pretty bad. The scene where she was arguing with the three black guys made me cringe.

The acting delivered by her in the scene with the 3 black guys was cringe worthy. But I thought her scenes with Walt and their dialogue was pretty decent by her. I did think Toad was really bad.

I thought overall it was a good movie. Throw back to the eastwood we all grew up admiring.... except with a pretty big twist at the end. Like bigdaddy said it was predictable and you could tell it was building up to that if you're paying attention. I think maybe they had not so good actors in the movie to keep the focus on clint. Afterall thats is probably the last time we'll see him on the big screen. I won't be as harsh as big daddy 4 out of 5 stars.

I found the Eastwood character believable to a point. The Jesus Christ pose at the end was a little cheesy for me. I agree that it was old eastwood in a way, but the entire movie appeared a little forced in so many ways. His outright racism was a bit much for my wife to handle, but made his character. The supporting cast is what killed it for me.I won't call it terrible because I have seen Hellbound with Chuck Norris, but I expected more from the previous track record of Eastwood films....and I can be a real ass.

Me & the wife watched it this past weekend...great movie! I agree the ending was very cool!

kinda sucked that he never fully reconciled with his two sons.

I've only visited Detroit briefly, but that has got to be one of the most depressing cities in America.

I lived with a guy in college from there. Our other roommate and I went up there and the dumbest thing I've probably ever done was steal 8 Mile street signs after a Pistons game at like two in the morning in some really bad areas.

Detroit is a sh*t hole.
