Gran Gone

All ya'll people callin out Gran for leaving for money. Go to work tomorrow, and tell your boss that you would like to cut your salary in half, and take a demontion in title.

The biggest problem is we are 2 coaches short going into the bowl game? Or will CLK get the new coaches in time for the bowl?:scare:

Everybody take a deep breath...everything will be ok...I am sure that CLK has already got some people in mind to replace the two defectors....Remember what he did last year, his staff was only together for a little over a month, and we got a top ten class...the main thing is not to get excited....JMO, we will still have a top 10 recruiting class....Go Big Orange

No, he pretty much sucked until this year.

There are plenty of people that are wrong on Volnation on a daily basis, but this takes the cake. Hardesty was a great back for us when he would come in for Foster. He was healthy his junior year, and Fulmer didn't play him due to seniority.

Our yards allowed per return on kickoffs was in the bottom 1/4th of the NCAA, we had 2 kickoffs returned for TD's...including one to Ohio. If you call that better and better .

Kicker that cannot kick to least the goal line causes great problems. You are wrong.

i wonder if that played any part in Luc's decision, wonder if we will have any defections from recruits in florida now

Screw him, get someone that wants to building a program! Best of luck Eddie....Not!

Coach Gran will certainly be missed. He got Hardesty running directly to the hole instead of dancing and it has made him a different back this year. At the first of the year I saw Bryce Brown run out of bounds when he was about to get hit and Gran took him out of the game and and told him to stay in bounds and take the hit and get extra yards. I didn't see him run out of bounds again to keep from getting hit. CEG is a very effective running backs coach.

i wish that all vols fans would wish these coaches the best. Gran left to be in the position that his talents could be maxed out. He is now recruiting to an in-state school. FSU will soon challenge UF in the state. Kiffin has said he wouldn't blame other schools for hiring his guys. It's probably safe to say that our staff will reload. Hamilton believes in Kiffin, and he is committed to helping him build a championship program. Turnover for position coaches is high, especially if they are good coaches. I loved Eddie Gran. I thought he made a huge difference for us this year. Now he got a pay raise and he will still be stealing players from UF. We should be proud, and maybe even thankful.

I agree Coach Gran has done a great job but the fact that he begged to be on the staff and now he jumps ship after one year. I definately loose some respect for him. As for Luc, how could he possibly pick FSU, they don't even have a D-coordinator in place. What the heck is he thinking. Maybe the Vols don't need him.
