Gran Gone

Don't think you can give all of that credit to Gran. He was their coach, but they had a little something to do with it. They were coveted recruits to begin with.
The fact is that he was a great recruiter and a great coach, and we got him for much less than he was worth. Dude was a steal. Quit acting like this isn't a loss, stuff happens, we got jobbed. Hopefully we can job someone else.

I say get the heck out of Knoxville Gran, and don't mess with any of our recruits or commits or we will mess you up.

Coaches change jobs all the time, and you can't blame someone if they feel it is in their best interest to do so. I say, good luck Coach Gran, wish you the best(except against us of course) and thanks for the year you gave us.

really man really  it's actually a good thing when people want your assistants it means your doing something right...I wish the best for Gran

He is a loss, but the world will not stop because an assistant coach left for more money. The Kiffins are more than plugged in when it comes to football ops and personnel.

Great recruiter, decent coach.

Yeah maybe for RB's not special teams. Good Rb coaches are a dime a dozen and we will poach one from a smaller program.

He won't be any better than the next guy we pick up. Kiffin stays on top of the assistant coaches hiearchy. Hes very adept at replacing parts of his staff.

Not acting like we won't miss him. But, I doubt he'll be missed as much as a lot think. Coaches with recruiting ability can afford to relax in the coaching department. I have no doubt that this staff will find a capable replacement. The biggest problem I have with this is the timing of CEG and CFW's departures. All teams involved are prepping for bowl/recruiting season.

Great recruiter, decent coach.

One tends to hide the other. However, I think Gran did wonders with Hardesty this year.

Yeah. All hope is lost. We should just quit football altogether. The sky is falling!

Sky isn't falling and we shouldn't quit football, obviously and I note your sarcasm. However, don't act like this doesn't suck. The guy was (and still is) a great coach and an excellent recruiter. So pretending this doesn't hurt us is naive.

We just need to find another coach who is a great recruiter in that area (or could be). I believe Kiffin and his staff can do it, but it's not going to be easy.

Tell us more. We have already learned so much about JJ riding the bench, how Bryce is unimpressive, and Gran being mediocre.

It's a shame the 'cats finally ended the streak this year. Kiffin has no idea what he's doing.
