gran never impressed me as a coach, if anythiung out special teams regressed. We can replace the recruiting end.

Yeah, running back play was horrible this year. Come on man, Gran is a good coach. He will be missed but we will find a suitable replacement.

Yeah Gran was good But you have to remember Kiffin didnt have any coaches at this time last year and he put a staff together and had a top 10 class. He got Brown,Ocu, Jackson after signing day. Think he will get someone to recuite Fla. Think Kiffin is sly like fox.

He obviously did a terrible job. I think we only ran for a little over 2,000 yards. I think the guy can coach; I just get tired of this weird attitude that some of our fans have that if we lose a couple assistants that we can't possibly recover. I don't see it killing Saban at Bama, and he has more turnover than about any coach in the country.

Notice I didn't say a single thing about running backs..its kind of hard to underperform at the position when you have Hardesty ready to break out. On the other hand look at his work on special teams.

Last year may set up as a disappointment to some.

What I mean by that is this; just cause something happened before doesn't mean it will happen again.

I know we will do good in recruiting, but just cause we got so many great players at the end of last year/after NSD, doesn't mean it will happen again.

Do any of you guys or gals that have more info than me (does not take a lot) think that this is all about the money or maybe something else. If it is only about the money, can't say I blame him. BUT, he will be missed for now. Have FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is also a much more reputable coach and is about to play for a National Title.

Stop posting. All of our running backs were great (yes including Bryce) and our special teams got better and better as the year went on. Its not his fault we had to play winded starters on kick off and our kicker couldn't get it past the 10.

You're right. I was shocked that Gran kept telling Lincoln to aim his kicks at defensive linemans' stomachs.

Our yards allowed per return on kickoffs was in the bottom 1/4th of the NCAA, we had 2 kickoffs returned for TD's...including one to Ohio. If you call that better and better .

Same argument then. It's kind of hard to have good special teams when you have kickers that can't kick. It's kind of hard to perform when you have no talent to work with. We had to bring in a kicker from the student body.

No kidding. Obviously a terrible coach, why else would he tell Cunningham to kick it short?

^^Not to mention that it was Gran's idea to bring in that kicker.

Does anyone know if kiffin tried to offer him more money or not?

I'm sure there was a negotiation, but FSU was offering more than just money.

RB coach and recruiting coordinator.

He is well known for his ties in South Florida, wherever he went he, that would be his area. Now he can just look in his backyard.

Cregg, Chaney and Browning did pretty well on the O line with 2 walkons and other guys who had no business playing. So did Monte. What's the excuse for Gran and his scholarship kicker and kickoff specialist?

After reading the story on Gran and his family earlier in the season in the KNS, he instantly became a favorite. But, one thing is for certain...if they(coaches) don't want to be here, whether it be more money, being closer to home or whatever, we need them gone. We need coaches that want to build up the program for more than a season.

How many of those TDs happened in the second half of the season?

How dare you use logic!
