Gran gone or not?

I have seen all the stuff about Gran accepting the job at FSU....but I have yet to see anything official from FSU or UT saying that he has definately gone or has already left.....have I missed something?

Been wondering that myself and looking for the official the last couple of days. Seems odd

I believe Gran is gone, it's just not official yet. I do find it interesting that Tennessee countered FSU's offer with a salary close to $300,000, but the position of associate head coach wasn't available, which is what he's getting at Florida State.

There are some rumblings going on about Gran being under investigation by the university for recruiting for FSU before he got hired if you choose to believe that......so that may be why but I really have no clue

After all this, I hope he is gone, we hung on to the guys he was recruiting and Kiffin will bring in somebody just as good, if not better than Gran.

That would make sense considering the way things turned with Luc once the rumors came out that Gran was going to FSU. I just found the whole thing fishy when Luc committed to FSU and they do not have a D-Cordinator or a linebackers coach.

I think if he was told that he was going to be allowed to spend some time with his family as long as he brought in the recruits and had the RBs running well, and if he was offered a raise to 275k, 300k back in mid November, he would not be leaving.

I say the unniversity should not allow him to stay for the bowl game if all above is true. Cut him loose now!

on fsus rivals page it says they have hired a new ut assistant with a picture of gran for the article

The current staff at FSU is going to stay until the bowl game. The new coaches won't be on staff until the bowl game has ended. He won't be a part of UT's team but he can't be part of FSU's team until after the bowl game. He will probably start working on recruiting in the mean time until the dead period anyway in a week or so.

when i read the news this morning about the ncaa looking at us all the players comeing out and talking to the ncaa are players that gran has recruited. makes you wonder :question:

Luc did not "follow" Gran. His attraction to UT was Monte Kiffin.

How can he recruit when his isn't officially on their staff, and can't be until after the bowl game? If he were, that would be a violation.
