Grad Assistant Ben Larson Coming; Tommy Spangler is Not

Per Scout and footballscoop.com, LA Tech grad assistant Ben Larson is headed to Knoxville to possibly fill an intern position and help Dooley, but looks like Spangler will not be joining the UT staff at this time.

I heard on the Sports Animal today that Spangler will be interviewing for the LA Tech job, and that if he doesn't get the job to maybe see his name come back up. It's from Hyams so TIFWIW.

Spangler took LT's defense from just horid, to a good solid attacking defense. I would take Garner over him, but Spangler is a solid coach.

I think this points to Thompson moving to DC and Garner as DL, recruiting coordinator, and Assistant HC. Garner could be the new DC but he has not been given a chance by Richt for a reason.
