Got to get Croom involved in Athens

To build on what an earlier poster said, our number one option is whoever is open.

Sjt posted it and I get and agree witg the theory but IMO great players win great games. Yes it will take all players open actually getting throws to help open up our playmakers but my simple point is we need our great players to play great, all of them.
Just like NC state you had big plays from CP, JH, and Z Rogers. The only one not fully involved was a TE, either Rivera or Downs. I said Rivera because he has more reps but either is fine by me.
When I think of great SEC teams that win big I think of solid teams that have a handful of players that absolutely change the game. Auburn's NC was a great example but even for LSU and Bama you know the guys names who are making the difference because they go out there and make it happen. Coaching is a big part of the game but the biggest part is the players making the plays. You can take an average team and throw the right couple guys in there and win exponentially more.

don't be surprised if he is headed for a redshirt. Hammy continues to be an issue. If he doesn't get in this week, I suspect that is what is happening with him.

his knowledge is really limited due to missed practice time. so even if he can go, very limited plays he would be available for.

Who in the f'k r u? Croomster's Hammy is good... stop telling lies and he missed practice when?????? 5 weeks ago? get over yourself.

OCI.... dont me make get with you!:nono::nono::nono:

Lulz. Mz. Terry errbody ready for Croomster to make his big splash. We know he's a colossal part of the game plan next season and needs to get his reps in this year to be ready.

Looks like Pig Howard is more game ready. Put Devrin in the slot, don't play Watson at all, I don't think the coaches trust Croom yet . He is not a good route runner, lacks speed and is a slow learner , but physically has unlimited potential. These are the reasons why he was not ranked higher in recruiting

Another jackass statement. U r kidding me right?

Cyber coaches at its best here ... I shouldn't have logged on tongiht... I've been hiding and a friend told me to log in. That was my warning , but being nosy!

That one was bad Croom's known for his route running.

I think Croom's mom knows and understands a lot more than you think. Most likely she appreciate CDD keeping a promise to not risk her son's health. He has a hamstring problem right now, pushing him before it's fully healed is just making things worse.

That out of the way, I think we will see three things, JH and CP are our matinee guys, true. But starting this game we will see the unleashing of a much improved Zach Rogers and the coming out of Jason(?) Carter.

I don't know enough about Alton to say much. But someone named "Pig" who is as fit as opposed to being just fat suggests some positive things. If you've every had to catch and wrestle a pig to the ground you know they're deceptively quick and darn strong. Handling them is anything but a piece of cake. Actually, you'd rather not have to deal with them if it involves chasing and trying manhandle them.

I want to believe our running game is real and will show up in Athens. But I do believe we will start this game to see the fuller set of receiving weapons. Perhaps this will be the age of the The Volunteers Aerial Circus, Inc.

1) I TRUST DOOLEY with my kid
2) Hammy has nothing to do it; Dooley got plans for Croomster
3) Thank you for understanding me, and I know a hell of lot more than I would ever write on these boards
4) sit back and watch out for what's coming!

Go VOls.

i understand this, BUT there could be opportunity for Croomster to be a double edge sword. Dooley know what he's doing. Sit back and wait. I'm good withh everything he's done; or NOT doing with Croomster. There's a reason for everything.

I'd trust that Crooms Mom knows alot more that's going on and what CDD and staff are doing than some message board coaching guru.

If Crooms Mom says she totally trusts CDD and what his plans are then that's good enough for me.

Croom will be a impact player once he learns everything and everyone is 100% certain he won't have another hammy issue.

Hammys are strange things and just a minor problem can flair up fast and kill a players entire season.

Just this week the Titans put a guy on IT and ended his entire season because he came back a little too soon and did lots more damage to his hammy.

I'd rather not take that chance and have Croom the entire rest of the season because that kid's going to be a great one.

VFL...GBO!!!

It is a damn shame that we have so many misinformed posters on here, and some of those same posters think kids and their families don't read this board.

MzTerry try not to let the little people get under your skin, seems like we have a lot on here who like to say things to make them sound like their in the know (ecred) I look forward to seeing the Croomster play and develop into an SEC beast!

I figure that Croom will get his chance at the Wildcat...
Heck, everybody else has.

:p

So all freshman WR's are as good as Sammy Watkins? hahahaha
It isn't about how "good" they may be. The point being raised was that freshmen aren't READY. Easy enough? When Hunter and Rodgers were finally allowed to take the field they had a big impact. I know there is a learning curve involved, but that is also the case with Patterson. He didn't know the playbook anymore than the freshmen did.

The correlation between Watkins and Croom is that they give you something you don't have otherwise. Putting Croom in with certain packages would give the offense overwhelming size at the WR position. This means some midget db is going to get owned.

Well, he didn't work out as the HC at Mississippi State, so I dunno how he'd do at UGA...a lot higher expectations... :D

I'm excited to see what croom can do. It'll be understandable if he makes a few mistakes since he's young but I'm excited for his future here!

Not sure you would have many mistakes with Croom. He seems to be a very disciplined young man and has the size to be an excellent blocker on run plays. But if you watch his high school videos his catching the football is not too shabby either. No reason for him not to be on the field.

I am from Croom's neck of the woods. I was the first class at northview a cross town rival. Let me tell you when I found out he was coming to UT, I almost lost my job from screaming with excitement. The kid is just a class act all around, great school and family and tight coaching program. They take some great athletes mixed with soft silver spoon boys, make em tough and by the time their jr. or sr. year come around they are some mean kids out that way at norcross. Jason was just beast from day one though, He had the same name recognition as Sean Baily from Milton a few years back who went on to UGA. Croom is Baily X 10000 though. Everyone admires him, and he is not a me, me , me guy.

He has some of the best moves for a big man I have ever seen.( think calvin johnson) just wait till his leg is better. Peanuts fella's peanuts right off their head

we be fine... working on bad info.. look later where I acknowledge he played against akron.. we be fine..

Where do you people come up with this crap? Do you know how ridiculous this sounds? Tape on a nose guard? So we limited his snaps against NCST and Florida so Georgia wouldn't have any tape. Good Lord

Makes about as much sense as not calling a timeout in the 2nd half against Florida...

MZTerry, believe me, I'm excited and anxious to see your boy out there. I have dreams and hopes he comes out and make us forget there ever was a Da'Rick Rogers. That he completes the 3-headed monster we all wanted to see this season.

Hunter tracks them down.
Patterson packs them in.
Croom lowers the boom.

So is he going to play against UGA or not??????? Hunter had some sick catches against LSU in 2010...if he is as good as advertised, hopefully he could make a simlilar splash against UGA.
