I’m making calculations for my son and if he goes to GA tech he could go nearly free vs being in debt in Knoxville. Its a hard choice.
Son graduated from Tech and got his Master's there as well. Have a number of family members and friends who went to Tech.

The Tech guys look after one another. It is like a big fraternity for the rest of one's life.

Knowing what I know now, I would have gone to Tech or Ivy League instead of my father's School of Cotton Ginning.

Thank you for sharing. I'm excited for the classes. I think they will be a lot of fun. I want to use my GI bill but I expect to be in for a few more years. Once I hit 10 I can transfer it to my kids. And that sucks to hear that about UT's admissions. I don't want to dunk on the program/school I love but I had a few red flags as well.
You can transfer once you’ve completed at least 6 years of service on the date your request is approved, and you agree to add 4 more years of service.

So it's 10 years if you already requested it.
