Got a pretty nice surprise when I got to Atlanta.

I have known Jayson Swain since his high school days in Huntsville. We talk and text fairly often. When my family and I got to the hotel Friday, Jayson was out front with his daughter. We said our hello's and I told him that I wanted to get a picture of him with my boys. He said, "I tell you what, come with me." We went to a room on the 3rd floor and he swiped his key card and opened the door. Inside was Joey Kent, Al Wilson, Leonard Little and Derrick Tinsley. We met them and got our picture made with them. Of course I had to explain to my 10 & 12 year old boys who they were. What a cool experience for a Vol fan like me. My wife later told me that I had that same look in my eyes that our kids do on Christmas Morning. That started my day out with a bang!

That is awesome. I've talked to Swain a couple of times and don't claim to know him well at all, but he seems to be a pretty cool guy. Glad you got to experience that.

I've met Swain before too and he's a class act. I'm jealous you got to kick it with those vol greats.

What an awesome experience. I'm jealous but definitely not hating. I would love to share something like that with my son. He is not really into football yet but he loves going to the games. I will take him to a few this year.

Awesome story. I was lucky enough to spend the entire day at the tailgate. Ainge, Swain and Tinsley are all stand up guys. Didn't get to speak with any of the others but it was definitely a great time.

Thanks for sharing. Seeing Wilson and Little together brought tears to my eyes. They look like they could still play. Don't explain anything to yours sons, show them some footage.

my wife and I met Al Wilson a couple years ago after the game. She knew his name but not much else. When we got home I forced her to watch a couple hrs of youtube vids so she would be properly educated :)

that is awesome very happy for you
I stream Swain and Rucker every now and then and Swain comes off as a really good guy.
