Got a bad feeling about Vandy

I hate to say this, but I have a really bad feeling about the Vandy game. This ain’t your grandma’s Vandy. They’re a solid team. Overlooking them is a mistake.

They have 2 road losses. One to Alabama and one to Texas by 3. Both games the officials calls were awful.

Vandy is highly motivated. A win over Tennessee and a little help gives them a shot at making the playoffs. The Vols are only playing for a better bowl.

I hate to say this and I REALLY hope I’m wrong, but I see Vandy pulling the upset.

Well it’s like this! I’m an old military officer and when a battle is lost it’s always your fault because you were in charge and you take the blame period! Heupel gets paid 100 times what a 4 star general gets paid he is in command and he needs to be held accountable! A pilot is the same the highest paid ones make maybe 250k a year a fraction of what Heupel makes and if a plane crashes the pilot is the first one to be held accountable unless it’s a mechanical! Yes Heupel is to blame but probably won’t be held accountable because the Tennessee athletic dept doesn’t mind being a 8-4 football team! So next year will be the same or worse! Nothing really I can do except to not pay my hard earned money to see mediocrity. See yall next year !!!!!! Hope is eternslLol

The old military type excuse of generals get all the blame ain’t gonna work. These players didn’t execute like they should have. That’s an individual problem. Did we have the same exact issues last year? No we didn’t. Why? Those guys wanted it and executed better.

Tackling is taught in pee wee football. So are you insinuating that this defensive staff doesn’t know how to teach tackling? lol BS. They tackled very good last year.

You people who refuse to blame players are laughable .

Ok sir since you obviously don’t have a military mindset. Let’s put it in a context that maybe a civilian puke can understand! Let’s say you are the manager of a manufacturing plant and your products are consistently below par as is your productivity! Tell me when the share holders want to know why their stock is going down because if these issues who in the hell do you think they are going to blame? You my friend you !! Again it’s Heupels baby and he should be man enough to take the blame and make the necessary changes, but as I have said n on here before I question his lack of character!

It’s up to the coaches to recruit players that can perform. If those players can’t perform, it’s up to the coaches to coach them up to perform. If they can’t be coached up, it’s up to the coaches to find players that can. See a patten here? The players are 18-22 and more transitory. This level of defensive dysfunction doesn’t occur if the staff and/or scheme is sound. If the staff is not sound, changes need to be made to make it sound. Too much money is being paid to this staff to accept what they have produced.

Yeah ok man. Coaching and practice. Tackling drills and pursuit angles, etc. Guess they don’t even need to practice huh? Especially since they learned all they need to know in pee wee.
