Gospel truth ref Hurd.

Arthur is really a good man. The situation wasn't handled right and now it's very ugly. 74 is Arthur his stepfather. I will say this, the concussion at UGA will be brought up shortly. Butch is going to get some heat for it. I know for a fact Tara and Arthur asked Butch why did you let him go back in the game and not take his helmet away.

The only reason IMO they aren't speaking more is the love Jalen and the family have for coach Gillespie and are ready to move on. Butch is praying it just goes away.

If you know him, you better tell him to stfu or the nfl will be advised of more red flags. He is severely damaging his step sons chances at the career he's dreamed about most of his life.

Nashville Metro PD disagrees. People turn their life around, I'm all for that but don't come here painting him as as saint.

BS.

He was still playing hard and just like usual up until the concussion at GA. Yes, it was a concussion...on top of spinal issues, a sore shoulder, a banged up hit, a tweaked ankle. Didn't fly to AM because he couldn't.

He has been banged up all year due to the hits he takes from the scheme.

His body began to give out and he is not even close to healthy now.

Do I agree he should leave? Porbably not. But he doesn't believe he is ready for the NFL. He believes he has learned zero under Butch and he wants to actually go somewhere to get ready for the NFL.

This may change. He may decide to declare but right now he feels he is not ready.

So Hurd thinks not taking a snap until 2018 will help him in pursuit of an NFL career? I have three syllables for you:

Ahaha

I'm not personal friends with the family. Saw them in Charleston over the weekend and have tailgated with them with mutual friends only once before a home game last year.

I will say this, he seemed like a very good man. No matter how thing the pancake, there is always two sides.

Some of you are missing some points about Hurd: First, I think Butch created an atmosphere (Player coached team) where certain players didn't even have to come to practice and when they did they put on a green jersey.........while other players are busting it out there in the heat, so they may feel some type of way. 2nd: I firmly believe 110% that Butch promised him more "I-formation" carries instead of running into a BRICK WALL every game (which will shorten anybody's career), hince the Bowl game.
3rd....Jalen should never quit in my opinion, but I can understand his frustration when your reading all the headlines all summer on how Butch should be using him and Kamara this year and it just hasn't happened. 4th: If you guys don't think Butch has lied to several players to get them to commit to Tenn and promised them certain things then your delusional. Just go back and look on National Signing Day when he said basically said Kamara decided to come back and we know and have told him that his role will be expanded but it never did until Jalen fumbled and Cam got hurt. 5th: 12 players have left from Butch's first class and that is HIGH no matter how you look at it.

Well Tennessee hasn't won a game since UGA so he wasn't wrong lol.

If im not mistaken he was one of the first ones to run on the field to celebrate to UGA win...Things just dont add up to me with his whole situation

Yes but he played in two of those games!!

Good Lord people......watch the bowl game.

This was right around the time Jalen was about to initially leave and transfer.

You think we suddenly go I formation just for giggles??

Really??

This tells you everything you need to know about Butch.

WE didn't run it in the spring because he told Jalen is would be installed once we got to SEC play to throw FL off and not give them time to prepare.

Which...never ever happened.

By that point, Jalen was already stuck....

Who gives a ratsazz? The scheme is what it was when he committed. If he had a problem with it he should have never committed in the first place. It's not like there wasn't 7 years of footage of Butch Jones led teams to know what he likes to run. Not to mention, who is he exactly to be catered to? He's one guy on a team of guys. You guys keep going on with this 'betrayal' angle, but this goes on everywhere in college football. Things change once a player steps on campus. A good attitude and a strong work ethic goes a long ways in what someone's personal college experience turns out to be.

Every coach tells a recruit what he wants to hear. Sometimes it pans out sometimes it doesn't.

TRUE, but what Im trying to say is & not defending HURD to a point but every player especially of his talents wants to play in the NFL and this was supposed to be his showcase year to show the NFL what he could do but the coaches are calling basically 1 play for him and that's STRAIGHT UP THE MIDDLE every single time......

I agree...but he wasn't fast enough to turn the corner. So what do you do in that situation?

Thanks! Millions of kids have rolled through Parris Island for decades defending this nation promised all sorts of things by recruiters and this grateful nation simply allows them to quit ... not. Your post insinuates the concept of quitting is great even if it hurts everyone on your team. It's not.
