All this talk about character makes me think about Kamara.

If anyone has gotten shorted, it's Kamara. His skill set is undeniable yet, he too many times he hardly ever or never saw the field. It's interesting that I never heard of any comment or complaint about or by Kamara. No tweets, second hand comments, nothing. I was afraid he would get frustrated and leave but, he is always smiling, supporting his team, and ready and up to the task when is number is called. That's a team player and it shows by selection as a Captain after one season in the program.

I'm a bigger fan of Kamara now than ever, not just as a player but, the man he appears to me. I think we'll see a different team now with Jelly and Kamara as true tandem feature backs. Not really thunder and lightning. Maybe just lightning and lightning.

Has anyone considered that his own team mates voted Kamara team captain over him.. to me that speaks volumes and that happened in fall camp. that said Hurd is better fit for power football system and I wish him the best.

Actually team captains were announced at the spring game. But that enforces your point. After one season with the team Kamara was voted captain and not Hurd.

If this story is true I look for Team 120 to come together and turn it on down the stretch. Nothing makes you fight harder than some idiot spitting in your face.

Well Tennessee hasn't won a game since UGA so he wasn't wrong lol.

If im not mistaken he was one of the first ones to run on the field to celebrate to UGA win...Things just dont add up to me with his whole situation

IF...you were the guy that fumbled and caused the Georgia game to be lost, wouldn't you want reprieve? I think he was overcome with relief at the hail mary.

I heard the same thing about DeBord, and that the decision is made on two more coaches.
I'm not going for it. Seems like this whole website is being master trolled. Can't any changes take place unless Hart approves. Then he's resigning which calls for a new chancellor being in place to even hire a new AD. Add in how close that is to national signing day and the whole deal doesn't make sense....almost ridiculous.

Wouldn't it be weird if the reason we haven't seen many snaps by John Kelly is because Butch knew this would happen. I mean, as long as we're dramatizing it. I have been JK fan since he first burst on the scene. Sure, he's fumbled a few times, but you can't deny his yardage and bull-like rushing. A future (and, hopefully, durable) featured RB.

Had to be the dumbest sh!t I've read so far. It really doesn't matter what anyone says at this point because it's nothing but a cluster-f$&$ rumor mill. I know Jalen's step dad put out a video a little while ago addressing some of this on Facebook. It doesn't really matter at this point though. You all eat your own. Hell after the way Jalen was treated after making a mistake in the GA game (yeah mistake - not showboating - kid has never showboated a day in his life), you all ate him alive. Glad he's gone. This place is a sh!t show.

lol.

Here lately half the people on this site would tell Butch to F off. I don't blame butch for getting angry at Hurd for the fumble but damn, what about all the INTs dobbs tosses

Sad shows how stupid half the site would be.

This means when Butch announced Jalen had a "lower extremity" injury that prevented him from returning to the UGA game, he meant Jalen has no sack / manhood.

It sucks how situations like this inevitably play out. The truth usually lies somewhere in between. There are plenty of Vols that appreciate what Jalen did for UT and also understand that we don't know, nor will ever know, the whole story.

I don't disagree with your premise. I'm just told the decision is made that three coaches won't be back next year. I was given no timeline on this.

According to some on campus, he wasn't shy in telling several people this.

People that knew him before his UT career are shocked that we are shocked..

It is well known about his attitude and self importance. Some people just have an anti-Jones agenda and believe everything that makes him look bad.

And whoever Fatz is just repeated a "rumor" that they just discussed on 104.5 The Zone.

Jalen kept to himself - no secret there. Didnt like interviews - no secret there. Didn't like the system - no secret there either. Was lied to all last week about running out of the pistol (remember Butches press conference and what they were going to be running against SC? Remember the whole I-formation thread last week because of it?) Ha, more LIES! Lying ass Lyle. And y'all still think it's all on Jalen.

I promise if someone lies to you over and over and over again, you're going to do something different too!

Just band-aids on bullet holes.
Ain't nobody of any importance got time for this idiocracy. We still have a chance, although slim, to contend for the east and we have holes to fill fast. Any coaching changes will take a backseat to that objective. After this wild season any thing seems possible. GBO!

Who knows what to believe, and at this point what does it even matter. He's gone, we have a season to finish up here. Best of luck to Hurd wherever he goes, and thanks for his contributions to Tennessee. We need to let it go. We still have Mizz, Kentucky and Vandy licking their chops right now. Let's see how this team reacts now that their cage has been rattled a little bit.

If football is truly going to be his thing, he might need to toughen that ego a bit. I only played sports in high school, but I've been cursed out big time by coaches for making mistakes. You shake it off and try to do better.

And by the way, go check my posts around that time. You will see me supporting #1 after that mistake. I understand you are purportedly a family and we all tend to spin things in the best possible light for those we care about. But ask yourself this? Is this truly what's best for the young man?

I have been a fan of Jalen. This has been disturbing, but it is what it is.

We have no option except to move on.

Right now, it's Kelly, Kamara and Fil-Aimes carrying the load and where the fanbase if focusing it's attention.

Everything with Jalen is OVER. We'll have the whole offseason to debate how he handled it.

Go Vols - Win out.

Then enlighten us, because a lot of the players do not like Jalen and he has a very poor attitude in terms of his self importance. If you deny his attitude issues then you are clearly not his uncle and if you think that a player with an attitude wouldn't get on with a coach you are naive. He may be a hard worker and hustle on the field but all of that is negated if you don't know how to treat others with respect. Anyone who has ever coached, knows what it is like when you have an obviously talented player that thinks more highly of himself than should. It is a plague that is better removed than isolated. It is what it is but for his sake I hope he learns that the NFL has plenty of athletes that are more/just as talented as he is. It will be a very humbling experience for him I am afraid.

Love kamara as a VFL now more than ever. I recall him quoting that he was the # 2 rb and when hurd came back from him lower extremity injury hurd would be the feature back again. Knowing what we seem to know he has more class and team oriented that hurd ever had.
