Anyone a little concerned that Boehner gets elected to the top spot? I find it amusing that someone who assures his caucus that they keep the House and that Rumsfeld was the best thing that happened to the Pentagon in 25 years is made the leader of the House GOP.
It's interesting that all the people who lost for R leadership spots are considered social conservatives. Obviously, getting back to the base is not high on many people's agenda. One day all those poor snake handlers are going to wake up and realize that the Rs will not ban abortion or exterminate the gays and they're all going to start voting thier pocketbooks again. Once that happens the R party is over.
I think a lot of that happened November 7th. With Harriet Miers and then Condi's comments about gay couples, I think many on the tip of the wing are realizing that Rove used them.
