I know this is posted in another thread. But I thought it was really cool and deserved it's own spot so people can easily find it and watch it.

Tyndall looks intense, and also like he's really focused on the offensive side of the ball, which is a drastically different approach from the last guy.

Check out our new coach in action.

Isn't that what was reported? Tyndall seems to do what his team needs the most and right now we need some offensive production out of these guys. Like how we are going to be focusing on offense over the summer and then focus towards defense during pre season?

Good video thanks for sharing.

such great points, for example, the rake thru with the ball and where the dribble starts. CDT make the point on where the dribble should start on the way to the basket. If you start it on your hip with no first step, you lose your lane and allow the defense to guard without moving. The rake thru and aggressive first step prior to the dribble allows you to hit the lane without having to put the ball on the floor first and allowing the D time to catch up. Basically, don't waste a dribble.

Same concept as a false step in football, I liked what I saw in the vid. Coach Tyndall teaching those guys to drive to the basket like a man.

Lord knows how CDT will fare over the next few years at UT, but the difference in atmosphere at CCM's and CDT's first practice sessions is palpable. I know it's just a couple of 'snapshots' of the big picture but I can't help being encouraged by CDT's HANDS ON approach--upbeat but demanding.

Friend of mine coaches at the D2 level. They got to see a UT practice under Zo and he said it was a joke. He said he'll take me with him when they go to a Tyndall practice this year. I can't wait.

In related news, I play Putt-Putt sometimes, and think that Phil Mickelson needs to fix his broke swing.

I watched that clip of practice wishing it was longer. I was impressed to see how involved CDT was. Also he was teaching the guys and that's what makes them better. He was also teaching game situational things to move the team forward. Great start to the new era of the mens basketball program.
