Good thing Tennessee didn’t hire Lane!

Tennessee’s pride has become laughable. Ole Miss sure is enjoyable to watch!!! Wonder how Tennessee would look right now if they’d just swallowed their pride and gone after him when they could have. Tennessee will unfortunately struggle for many more years.
. They should’ve hired him after they fired Butch but Phil stepped in and had to hire his boy Pruitt. Tennessee football is dead and buried for the rest of this decade at least.

Lane had a job here. The reason Lane Kiffin is not the coach at the University of Tennessee was Lane Kiffin’s decision. No one else’s.

Yeah cause having two terrible seasons and having to fire a coach vs two great ones and them leaving is just so much more awesome.

Yeah, I'm certain we'll lose every game from here to eternity! If we only had Kiffin to make us champions and bolt.

Like saying that the problem with murder is the victim and not the killer. I am sure that Ole Miss has a few openings in their fan base.

Yea, because what I said is so dumb. Lane would have come back and Tennessee football would have at least been entertaining again. Maybe he would have left again and maybe not but it would have at least been entertaining. I know most of you live in East Tennessee and are surrounded by other Tennessee fans. Trust me when I tell you no one outside of East Tennessee has any respect for Tennessee football, to the point where it’s not even an afterthought. When I tell people I’m a Tennessee fan they don’t even bother to talk trash anymore and haven’t in years. It’s pathetic

Why do we need other fans to talk trash about UT football when you are doing such a great job?

Kiffin inherited 2QBs better than anyone in Knoxville in last 5 seasons.

He’d probably have done well here.Probably needed a DC that could cover a spread not Monte. He would have appeased the rednecks by running off good QB’s(think Tahj Boyd) and started the weak arm of Harrison Bailey tight now.

Sorry but not this crap again...... Quick question who if Lane was the coach would be our starting QB? Speculation on your part but you already brought that into the topic sir.

HB weak armed LOL..... that's laughable. Kid has a super strong arm and has showed it many times. I guess you were watching Vandy play.

Spoken like the battered wife who is sure he's worth it and it'll never happen again. And why? Because he beat Tulane? Have some self-respect.

Good thing we just can’t root for Tennessee……instead of everyone else.

Maybe save all that towards the end of the season…..or at least down the road……to at least see how ONE season “might” go.

100% should’ve hired him when Butch was fired. Say what you will, but the one year he was here he had a ton of top talent coming in. Also, he took a terrible Ole Miss team and in two seasons has them clicking. We will get to wallow in it once again when he beats our asses next month.

Nope that’s what the VFL’s and media say coming out of practice definitely 3rd

He's third because he's the youngest QB in the room. He's not mobile as the other 2 QB's but showed today he can move the ball with his feet. Not to the point of breaking 54, 35, 25 yard runs but can move the chains. And if you think the kid has a weak arm I don't know who you are listening to because everyone that talks about this kid says he has a BIG arm. His draw back is he's young. Prove me wrong with a credible source that says this kid has a weak arm sir.

I seriously doubt he would have came back even if offered. I dont know him personally and all I ever heard were internet rumors that he had an interest.
We beat BG, were supposed to win.
We lost to Pitt, were supposed to lose.
We beat TT, were supposed to win.
If had played those 3 last year the results may have been the same but I have no doubt the scores would have been much different. Put up 56 points today so we need to talk about what might have been. Guess ole Lane would have put up 100.

We definitely could have and probably should have beat Pitt but it felt like a step in the right direction competing til the end and not giving up.
