ha, I heard Steele was going to be on FB. are you listening to FB podcasts?

Steeles algorithms are largely based on returning starters and consistency over schedule. He often favors UT and we crap the bed TBH.

You answered your own question. Tennessee will be bad because they lost a ton, they have new offensive and defensive systems everyone has to learn, they have a ton of inexperienced players. And I’ll add a few; they play in the toughest conference in America, the most unforgiving conference in America and they have questions at QB.

Really bad combination of things for an SEC team.

The good news, you’ve got a better coach than you had last year.

We lost a ton of talent, the returning players haven't been developed or properly coached the past 3 years. We are doing a 180 with our offensive identity. We are trying to fit players who were recruited to play outdated schemes into more modern and different schemes.

The schedule is manageable and that is our saving grace.

Schedule is manageable is only positive---- how could we have lost a ton of talent? Bad last year
Looks like Pittsburg could be only chance for 6 wins----we can hang with Candy and maybe SC
Schemes do not win football games
We hired coaches out of lower tiers and recruit at same level --and that does not equal competitive presence in the SEC

Outstanding list!

Based on the OP, you should add “putting ‘this’ at the end of a sentence...just because.”

Dangit, "could of" was my favorite word combination, now you are telling me it's not a thing?

Right? I mean explained why we'll be bad and then question why they think we'll be bad.

So we lost a ton, but still have a ton? Based on results there's no evidence the ton of players we lost was any better than the ton we have which includes experience on both the offensive and defensive lines as well as talented newcomers and experienced transfers in positions of need. We lost a ton of misery-ridden coaches under Generalissimo Pruitt too along with their offensive and defensive strategies which had to amount to at least another ton of useless crap. For now it appears they've been replaced by a ton-and-a-half, or possibly even two tons of enthusiastic new coaches along with what could prove to be at least another ton of modern football logic. Therefore, based on tonnage, we lost 3 mostly worthless tons from last year, while we approach this year hoping for a productive, winning 3-1/2 to 4 ton team.

I get the sense that this Vol varsity couldn't hang with Bama's third string. Vandy will be a challenge. Hope I'm wrong.

OP please teach me how to start drinking before 10 AM.

I need to prep for this upcoming season. Just in case... I think we'll be fine though but it doesn't hurt to get ones body acclimated to alcohol before 10 AM.. After all GameDay is on at what, 8 AM?

Teach me Master Jedi.

Could you add "a lot" (correct) vs. "alot" (incorrect) to the list?
