Parker is still underrated. Kid has the skills to be a great guard for us.

Parker and Williams nominated for McDonald's All American game. Guess these recruits still aren't any good.

Not really much of an accomplishment honestly, speaking from a national, high-major perspective. Hundreds of kids get nominated IIRC.

I just looked on Wikipedia. Ok the number of nominations is pretty high. 1500 to 1800. But hey at least their nominated. But I think both have a very good chance of being selected.

I think it's usually the top 50 or so players that actually get nominated IIRC

Not sure of that answer. But the NegaVols will troll their nomination regardless.

It's too bad people can't enjoy anything positive, they have to be negative. These two young men are at least pretty good or they wouldn't even be nominated. How many posters here actually played BB? I did and I wasn't nominated. How about going with the flow and trying to embrace the good. By the way, Pearl is not coming back. Also, anyone know how many NBA players Barnes has vs Pearl? My count shows 8-0. Also, Barnes has made the tournament more times as a coach than we have as a program. I trust him. Wow, I feel better now and Go Big Orange.

Regardless of how some or should I say a handful of the NegaVols on here feel. I always look for the good in the basketball team. I've never had any delusional expectations that we were ever going to be like Kentucky. And even in the Pearl era I never expected final fours. It's always been game by game. So to me this is good news. It means recruiting is in good hands.

These nominations are great but I look at the class and say, "We have 2 PGs that are PGs and we have guys who can play power forward that weren't shooting guards in HS." This class meets needs and will have a 60% success rate for the Vols.

I really like the class, all 5 guys with time can be SEC starters IMO and all conference caliber players by their junior/senior seasons, maybe a couple of them sooner hopefully. It's a very good foundation class, and one that if they all stay together we probably look back on in 4 years and really appreciate, much like Butch's first class setting the foundation. I would love to see a big like Fernando added to the class, but also get the attraction for a big man grad transfer, both would be awesome, but that obviously means someone else moving on.
