Just wanted to wish you guys luck in the Championship game on Saturday. I think it's going to be a fun game to watch. Wish my Hogs were there though!

Thanks for the post :) I was telling everyone before the Arkansas-LSU game that you guys could give them all they wanted...now I didn't expect you to win, but thought it would be a battle. Congrats on the great win.

What's the feeling down in Fayetteville about Nutt leaving? Despite all the off-field problems, I would imagine it would be a little bittersweet.

I wish we could have given you guys all you wanted, but our running game was nonexistent. It is bittersweet that he is leaving...or at least it is to me and quite a few people I know. I really like everything about Nutt except his play calling abilities. He was an incredible motivator. I wish we could have gotten rid of the OC side of Nutt and kept the head coach side of him. I was prepared for him to leave, but the press conference today was kinda sad in my opinion. No matter what anyone says, he brought Arkansas from the brink and back into a winning program that at least now has the potential to compete in the SEC. And I gained a lot of respect for him today when he resigned since he is turning down all that money he could be making. You could tell it was really hard on him and that he really did care about the program and was a true Razorback. He divided the fan base long ago, but he also reunited them today. And it's kinda the end of an era...I'm only 21 so he has been the coach for almost half of my life. The only Razorback football I knew before Nutt was the pathetic Ford and Crowe years. Sorry, that was kinda long.

And he did lead us to some awesome games with UT! Even though it still kills me to remember it, to this day the '98 game was one of the best games I have watched. It was a turning point in our program.

Turning point meaning losing by a few???? Sorry, Hog I remember ya'lls posts before our game. I wish good, just short of TN level good, but a Hog bearing good tidings is questionable to me:unsure:

By turning point, I meant that we learned we could compete in the conference. We handed some payback the next year. Which game?

Thanks HogWild. Good luck on your search for a new HC... I know it's early, but who would you like to see as your new HC?

Well if I might as well be a little delusional and dream big here for a second. Jimmy Johnson!

But seriously, I have heard Butch Davis tossed around and Malzhan (was the OC for us last year). I personally don't want Malzhan to get hired because he has only had 2 years of experience in college football and no head coaching experience. And I think hiring him would also be a kind of slap in the face.

....unbelievable what a scattered win or few... spread over multi-years, will make you guys say. I say you are still, and will be, second teir SEC. Remember what one win did to your ego last year. Well, McDaddy will be gone next year and , once again, you'll be average at best......BTW, thanx for pissing-off our SEC CHAMPIONSHIP opponent.... I, for one, can't wait to beat the crap out of you until you finish your "adjustment" period with your new coach.

Scattered win or two? We went from bottom dweller to legitimate contender. Since Arkansas entered the SEC we have been in 3 SEC Championship Games (we actually tied for a 4th Western Division Title), Tennessee has been in 4 games since that time. That one win last year did nothing dramatic to my ego. Second tier? If I remember correctly, since Nutt took over in '98 we are 2-2 against the Vols. Those are pretty even statistics, granted we haven't won an conference title yet. And yes McFadden will be gone next year and will be greatly missed, but we always have a strong running game. And I'm sorry that our beating LSU did not benefit UT. My sincerest apologies...

Oh your beating of LSU benefited Tennessee. You literally beat the snot of them, and then crushed their spirit, and for that Hog fan I am thankful

I hate to agree with an enemy poster, but Arkansas...despite having Alabama, Auburn..and LSU in their division, has went to SECCG two times in the last five years, LSU is the only team that can match their recent sucess in the West.
