I gotta admit, JG has played much better today than expected. So far a clean, somewhat efficient game. I think he forced a couple of those first half long balls when he could have checked down. Hope he keeps this up and improves each game.

JG is much improved just because he's making much better decisions and is much more confident. It's all going to come down to consistency throwing the ball. He threw it pretty well today. Just a well managed game for the most part.

Good game today by JG. He managed the game well, made good decisions, and only had a couple throws off the mark. Good job.

I have been a harsh critic of his play when it is piss poor...he played well today and deserves to be praised. I think anyone trashing his play today has an axe to grind.

the fact Jg is medioce combined with having best OL or one of, in SEC yet still not dominating Missouri, is ridiculous.

We should be able to hang 42 on at crew.

Yeah. There definitely was. Why I made it.
I've been more critical than almost anyone regarding JG. He's not been what you want in a TN QB over his career as a whole.

But these first two games has been his best stretch as a QB here. He's playing smart. Not turning it over. Missing throws because his mechanics need work still. But he is reading the defense. He IS seeing the open man. He IS winning.

Just imagine if he stops missing...
We need to keep running it and and giving our defense rest.

I think JG has conducted himself with class and poise during a period where he was treated with neither. I like the way he conducts himself and keeps fighting. He's been the starter, pulled from starting, back to starting, pulled after a play, back and forth and the guy keeps giving you his all. I'm a fan.

I won’t disagree this was probably his best game he’s ever had. There were still some where he makes the throw too high. But he’s made more big plays this year where they been caught in stride, which is great. It’s fine to run a ton now but it may not work against the harder teams. You’re going to need a more accurate QB. We will see next week though. I hope he keeps improving.

JG has been doing much better. Last week he made some over throws, but if you look at every throw, he made the right decision, just didn't make a good throw. This week, he seemed to do both.

The thing is when he misses they aren’t jump balls where the other team has had int opportunities. He’s being careful with the football. In the past, he was never throwing a ton of INTs but a lot of times he was throwing balls that could’ve been. With exception of the play that was reviewed for targeting today, I don’t remember any throw that could’ve been a pick in either game. Today he was putting it where only the WR could make a play.

He has made plays when he had to, and looks so much better running the ball. He’s playing with confidence so far this year. First game his accuracy wasn’t all there, but today he made throws to his WRs in stride that he hasn’t made before.

JG needs to continue to improve. He still has a few things to clean up. That being said, he has improved a good bit since last season. He is playing smart football and managing the offense quite well. Today was a solid game for him. He is clearly our best QB option. If he can continue to improve, then I really think we have a team that can compete with anyone. We have a good football team. Not elite but good enough to compete with elite teams.
