Good horror?

I thought it was okay.

Didn't care for Bondsman. I didn't knowanything about it going in either. I gave up on it on E4.

I think I'm going to try Woman in the yard. Looks creepy.

I loved Witchboard back in the day. Tried to watch it this past October and it didn't hold up well at all.

It's not a horror, but Bone Tomahawk would scratch that itch. Lol.
There’s supposed to be a Witchboard remake but I can’t find it.

I remember. Lol.

You and discussed it several years ago. First time I saw it I didn't like it. It had been a couple of months after seeing it when I talked to you so I watched it again. Changed my mind. Seen it 3 times now.
Damn dude you remember that from that far back? Steel trap on behrs mind. I don’t post as much anymore. Good for you

Weird that it’s being released in August when it was made last year. No wonder I can’t find it anywhere. Thanks behr!
Looks like it was released in the UK last year. This is the first I've heard of it. Glad you mentioned it, I'll watch it.

Strange Darling ..... 7/10

I was expecting something a little better because of its 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes .... but it's an interesting and original horror/thriller/gorefest.

Sometimes those high scores scare me off. Some of the worst ones get great scores from RT.

Watched The Damned…using the BB method…5/10

It kept me engaged enough to finish it but I was disappointed overall. It’s certainly not horrible by any means, just meh.

Strange darling was a pretty good thriller. Not really horror per say but pretty good

Here are 4 classics from the 1960's, which unfortunately have faded into obscurity :

1) Black Sunday (1960) .... 9/10

Great gothic horror film. While being burned at the stake, a witch vows revenge on the descendants of her executioners. Hundreds of years later, she returns to keep her promise. It's better than that synopsis sounds.

2) Eyes Without a Face (1962) .... 9/10

This is a French language film, with English subtitles. A renowned plastic surgeon accidentally disfigures his beautiful daughter, in a reckless car accident. Overwhelmed with guilt, he attempts to repair the damage to his daughter by transplanting the face of his mistress, who is also one of his nurses. For it's time, it is surprisingly graphic and disturbing. Even by today's standards some of the scenes are pretty gross.

3) Carnival of Souls (1962) .... 10/10

A shy, young woman in a small Kansas town is the sole survivor of a drag racing accident. She is later haunted by an apparition. Makes great use of an organ musical score, and it's mood is effectively creepy. It has a low budget charm to it as well. Extremely well made.

4) Repulsion (1965) .... 10/10

Horror great Roman Polanski's first English movie is a classic. It's a psychological horror about a young woman who has developed an irrational fear of interacting with men which resulted from being sexually abused by her father as a child.

All 4 are available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.

Black Sunday is a must see IMO

I'm sure it's been mentioned at some point in this thread but imo Midnight Mass and Haunting of Hill House are 2 of the absolute best horror series probably ever. On Netflix. Watch if you haven't

I’d toss in Bly Manor as a close runner up. Really, anything that Flanagan does is solid.
