I grew up watching all the specials. I still do to this day especially the Christmas one. I read the comics on a regular basis for a long time.

I’m 58. I have one of the early comic books in really good shape.
Snoopy is my homie.
Found a website that shows them back from the beginning when they were babies so I have been reading those daily.

I've watched the holiday specials most years since I was a little kid. My CB radio call name was "Woodstock" on my granddad's radio. I had Snoopy and Woodstock sheets that I even used into college. If I ever hit the lottery, I'll buy an Omega Silver Snoopy NASA watch.

Snoopy was the name of the Apollo 10 lunar module (LM) that flew people within 10 miles of the moon’s surface for the first time ever. The A-10 Command and Service Module (CSM) was named Charlie Brown. Peanuts was kind of a big deal in the late 1960s.

Everybody remembers Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, but Thomas Stafford and Gene Cernan were the first 2 to approach the lunar surface. Riding in Snoopy.

*We got married in mid December and didn't have our house yet. We stayed at my aunt's house for 2 weeks while they were gone for a cruise. I got one of my grandmother's old, red silk ball ornaments and cut a tree limb. I stuck the limb in an old decorative jug my aunt had and we hung that ball on it. That was one of our favorite Christmases together.

As far as Peanuts goes, I used to have a large collection book of Peanuts comics. They were fun, but Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes were my favorites.
