Good God We Suck (Thanks to the Coaches)

Oh. Damn. Well, Worley must suck. I mean, it's not like he made his first start against a top 15 SEC opponent and had some jitters....

Oh, he did? Look, Kentucky is more like MTSU than anybody else. Worley will complete about 60% of his passes, and Tennessee will beat Kentucky by 14-21 points.

We should beat Kentucky.

But watching the worst running performance in my ten years of watching Tennessee football has just enough doubt to creep in my mind.

Lol! UT couldn't beat any SEC School by 14-21 points, mainly because for some reason after halftime they forget they are even football players. Whats up with that **** haha :eek:lol:

Thanks Sam. And Heath, you are correct. It's late. Can I at least be a semi-moron or something? "Moron" is so... abrasive. I have feelings, dang it!!

I'm not even concerned about beating Kentucky. They have a terrifyingly bad QB, a non-existent rushing game, and a pretty bad D.

There's absolutely no excuse for Tennessee not to be Kentucky.

Um, why not? A valid answer would be appreciated. If i'm not mistaken they got a victory in the SEC today. Something we probably couldnt have done, Ole Miss would beat us. we are the worst team in the SEC at this point have you guys taken any notice? worse than Vandy and UK at (0-5). Go vols :dance2:

Ole Miss was blown out by Vandy. That's enough right there. Stop with the madness.

And we are gonna have a freshman QB, no running game, and a defense that usually struggles (for whatever valid or non-valid reasons those may be) in the second half.

Their new QB put up 283 yards passing. Was it against Ole Miss? Yeah, and they suck.

But with our run game, I'm not comfortable against Kentucky.

Ya know the fact that some people try to act excited over a victory over the lowly MTSU sickens me. The state of our football program is a joke. I am usually the most optimistic homer on this board when it came to Dooley and the Vols, but I've reached the breaking point. There is really no other way to define our woes other than its on our coaches. Yes losing Bray and Hunter is a big blow to any program. The problem is, is that our staff had no one ready to step up if anyone were to go down. Thats absolutely ridiculous. Heres another question..why can't we run on MTSU? Or score atleast a FG in the whole second half?? Our oline coach needs to be fired, and whoevers coaching the runningbacks is a joke, i think its Chaney might be wrong. We have had 2 yes 2 successful recruiting classes loaded with young talent that should be contributing more than they have. Bamas true freshmen are good right away, along with LSU's,UGA's, UF'S, and USCjrs but oh thats right theyre just too young on our team thats all. Bull****, they need coaching and guidance, and most of all they need coaches who believe in them as players and have their backs. Dooley has failed in this aspect without question, I dont believe he thinks he can make it so why would the players believe in him or themselves? Dude has lost my support this season, and rightfully so. If we dont win next year with Bray then fire his ass andf hire a qualified winner for our program, thats what you must have to win in the SEC boys.

If you blame Dooley for this then you know nothing about college football. Good grief. Fulmer and Kiffin has us in this mess. Dooley is the one that has to get us out of this mess while playing 5 or 6 teams in the top 20 in the nation. Wake up.

What HC would you have hired? Do you think that your're smarter than Hart? It's amusing to me how many college football fans (many not sucessful in their own fields) think they can make decisions better than seasoned veterans who are trained in the profession of running athletic depts. Derrick Dooley was the best candidate for the UT job. God wasn't available and wouldn't have taken the job anyway given the mess that Kiffin left. College football is VERY competitive and Tennessee doesn't have a very good HS feeder system like GA, TX, FL, CA, OH, and PA have. Get real and be thankful for CDD. And if you want to fire him already, I know of a program in Athens that will welcome him with open arms once CMR goes off to Africa. Knoxville, TN is not the center of college football. Be thankful for what you have.

I stopped after the bolded, since Hart didn't hire him.

Why?

Well, I could give you an elaborate reason and all that. But, instead, I shall present you with this.

I'm not denying we don't have some serious issues.

I'm just saying that Tennessee should be Kentucky without much issue. Kentucky's best shot to end the streak was last year.

We should. I agree. I'm just not chalking up as a W like I did earlier in the year.

The fanbase is on their 3rd coach in four years, hasn't had a nationally relevent win since 2006, hasn't been to a BCS bowl since a new millenium, and haven't won an SEC title since the Monica Lewinksky controversy. I don't really blame the fanbase for being pissed.

Sure, but that doesn't mean we have to enjoy reading the same post in every thread win or lose. We are what we are and are not really in a position to make big sweeping changes. This team desperately needs to go 6-6 and win their bowl game so we can at least meet pre-season expectations, but I bet even if we do that we'll be dealing with the same "fire everybody! rable rable rable!" threads.

you wont get no arguments from me on anything that you have listed here. but it just amazes me on how they want dooley fired after two years when its going to take more than 2 years. i can't wait to get back to the glory days that we use to know but it takes time.

I get it, but the fans are tired of waiting. They've been told to wait since Sanders was OC and let him get his feet wet. We fired Fulmer in 2008, and we are (in terms of talent/wins, etc.) no better than where we were at this moment. I get the frustration.
