What was the free throw comparison? Like OSU 40 Tenn 20.... not to mention Conley fouled Ramar on that last play... good season but it sucks we couldnt finish out the game.

The refs gave Oden 4 fouls. Had we tried to challenge him once in the second half other than the final play of the game, he would have fouled out. I can't blame the refs for this one. There were some questionable calls, but it was still our game to lose.

Complaining about the calls in that game is a complete cop out. We stopped hitting shots and OSU went nuts from the field in the 2nd half.

we lost the game... theres no excuse to blow a 20 pt lead.

I agree.. I never said I didn't... BUT the main reason we lost the 20 point lead is due to 35 free throws by Ohio State. Good game.. but I will always feel we were snubbed with the amount of fouls called on us compared to OSU

Failing to make virtually any baskets that weren't 3's didn't help much. You aren't going to get fouls called hanging around the perimeter.

Bingo . . . I bet we didn't take 10 shots from the paint in the entire 2nd half.

I'm not complaining, although it accounted for a huge % of OSU's second half about anything but the last two plays. Conley got breathed on all night, fouls. Ramar goes to the hole, Conley hanging on for dear life, no call. Those plays made the difference.

True... also I don't know what happened to Lofton the past 2 games in the second half from about 20 minutes left to 8 minutes or so in both games he's been way off. I think Lofton should've taken that last shot as well.. Ramar hasn't been a great last second finisher..

There were some pretty crappy calls in Conley's favor, I'll give you that. He slipped and fell of his own accord. Didn't he do that in the last game, too?

We don't have a legitimate center on the team and that forces our smaller guys to foul under the basket. You can't really blame the refs for catching our fouls. Ohio State came out hell bent and determined to work under the basket and we can all see why.

We could have even survived it all if the Vols could have made their free throws. We've lost to OSU twice this year and it was OUR foul shooting that got us those losses.

if all of ohio state's game are gonna be officiated like their last two, then there's no need for memphis to show up saturday.

Certainly not the refs fault here.

I don't know about that completly.. we certainly had our chances... and we can't compete if we can't make simple free throws. The disparity in free throws attempted was ridiculous. Lofton hasn't gotten an old-fashioned 3pt play attempt in awhile now.. he gets banged around almost everytime he goes in the lane but didn't get the calls Conley got, especially the foul on Conley with 6 seconds left.

and there is always somebody that wants to bring up fulmer, in March, five minutes after a basketball game.

We've lost both OSU games b/c we didn't hit free throws. Simple as that.

As for Fulmer, he wouldn't have even gotten us here.

i have closely watched conley since 9th grade...with all due respect to greg oden, who i also saw in 9th grade and manytimes after, conley might have been the best overall basketball player on the floor. he is a winner, all levels, and if i were an nba scout i would love to have him run the point for my team...he makes everyone better, very quietly. :salute:

Great Season!!!!!! Hurts to lose because we can't make free throws. I hope CBP has evryone working on this for next year. Great career for Dane Bradshaw sorry you had to leave this way. Best of luck to you in the future I'm sure what ever you do you will be successful.

GO VOLS IN 08!!!!!!!!!

Officiating was not great, but not the reason for the loss. We did not hit shots in the paint the second half, did not make free throws, and most importantly, they lost the passion they had the in first half. Yes, there was some bad calls...but it was not the reason TN lost
