I don't really want to see him play the vols every year, but I hope he gets to coach again

I hope I never have to see him again. He single handedly destroyed our program the last five years. I think a monkey could have done a better job. Its mind boggling to think he kept his job as long as he did.

Do most coaches who have been fired have to keep reminding the world they want to coach again? He should realize he will probably never get a chance to coach at a school with a legitamite BSC contender again. Everone knows he left our program in much worse shape that he found it. This is UT we are much bigger than Fulmer, Majors or any coach we hire or fire.

Fulmer got lazy the last 5 yrs he thought he would be able to stay as long as he wanted.

Guys get off the man's back, we wanted him gone and he's gone...I'm not starting anything with anybody but we wanted him fired and he's fired, why still attack him? I understand you know the football program isn't what it should be now and what it needs to be, but like him or not Fulmer did bring us some good times, just like he brought some hard times...I will miss Phil because I have met him a bunch and he is a super nice guy but flaming the man after he is gone is ridiculous, I'm glad we got Kiffin and I'm looking forward to winning a lot of games with him but its like beating a dead horse when Fulmer gets flamed...I understand it was time for a change, we got it and let's appreciate the GOOD things that Fulmer did to us instead of focusing on the BAD things that have happened in the last 5 years or so.....GO VOLS!

When is fulmer going to retire and head to the golf course. I'm tired of him giving all these interviews. He's got $6 million cash from UT and should stay away from the program.

All I am going to say is it will be very interesting to see what Fulmer does at another school with a low recruiting budget. I think this could be very difficult for him since that was his strength. He might be fortunate to land at one with a large recruiting budget like UT, but I would be surprised.

Truth is Fulmer got complacent after the NC while the other schools around got hungry. Factor in that he begin to show more and more favortism, the coddling of players and lack of desclipine led to his demise. His teams were known for predictability and being soft while the rest of the SEC was working on getting better. During this downward spiral the biggest impact was the loss of Cutcliffe to the staff, that he could never get past.

Here's an idea. STOP reading articles about him. You have control over your keyboard and mouse, no one makes you click on the link that takes you to the information.

The only people that think FOOLmer will coach again is the Foolmerites. No one above a DIII school is going to hire him. Everyone has seen, and took note, of how he single handedly filled UT's roster with raving, lunitic, drug using outlaws. The worst example of a 'coach' to ever walk Tennessee's sidelines.

I can't read this right now, because of all the distractions around me. I read part of it, and I look forward to reading the rest of it. It's nice for young Volunteer fans to come into a new era with a great coach the likes of Lane Kiffin. I'm looking forward to next season.

As a Vol fan I enjoyed most of the Fulmer era and wish him the best in his new endeavors.
I'm also excited as hell about the era and look forward to next season.

Like him or not he was still a Vol thru and thru, trashing him now is bammer-like IMO.

I just don't understand how people that call themselves a true Vol(no I'm not questioning anybody's loyalty to UT or their fanship) can trash a man the way some people tend to trash him, he was a VERY loyal Coach, when he was at the best of his coaching career he could have very well went to he NFL but he stuck with UT....It's hard for me to not like someone like Phillip Fulmer, I am only 19 and Fulmer is the only UT Coach I have been around to see or remember for that matter but every time I think of UT football Phillip Fulmer is the first to come to mind, love him or hate him he took us to the top, sure we aren't there now but Kiffin will get us there eventually
