To be fair, we look good, but it's still just a small portion of the season. Next season could go many ways, and we will have to play all of it to make an accurate assessment of Martin. But things are looking good IMO. GO VOLS!!

Bright side is we only lose Tatum and Woolridge next year. Tatum would be the biggest loss of the two. If we can keep our momentum going we could easily be in the top 3 teams in the east next season.
Well, the "East" technically doesn't exist in basketball anymore. But, because Vanderbilt basically will lose everything next year, Tennessee should easily be able to be better than Vandy, Georgia, and South Carolina next year.Bright side is we only lose Tatum and Woolridge next year. I've seen what hiring the right guy at UT can do. But I've also witnessed, numerous times first hand, what hiring the wrong guy can do. Through the first half of the season we were a crappy team with bad loses. At that point there was no indication that Martin would change anything.
Some were content to blame the players. I take a different approach and hold the coach accountable.
Have the players changed? No. Have Martin's style and decisions improved? Yep.
Why would I include Florida? Florida may be good next year, depending on who stays/who goes and which recruits go where. If Florida is able to keep either Beal or Young in school, and lands Anthony Bennett, then Florida is looking good for next season. Which I can't exactly say that about Vanderbilt, Georgia, and South Carolina. Thus, I said Tennessee should easily be better than those teams. Could they be better than Florida next year? Possibly. But, it's neither probable nor definite.I was about to say, funny he left out Florida when Tennessee slapped them around twice this year.
Yep, Donovan definitely turned those two National Championship teams into mush. That Elite Eight team last year? Soft. Of course.

And again, congrats on your wins over us, but I'd rather be in line for a high seed in the tournament than have a couple wins over a certain rival. :salute:
