Thanks 32. I can't imagine what you went through with that.

The decision wasn't mine or anyone else's. it was what she wanted.

I think that's how it should be, imo. Some people would do everything in there power to keep a loved one alive, even though they're suffering.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks. I agree, but it still doesn't make things any easier. The choice will always be tough.

I was down to one parent by the time I was 20, so I kinda sorta understand what you're going through. If you need to vent, talk, a distraction, get drunk, or whatever, you know where to find me.

Thanks. I may do that, but like I said the big issue is getting my mom through this. Last time something like this happened, she almost shut down - and it wasn't even close to the gravity of this.

Indeed. Never easy for anyone, some worse than others.

I agree....had to pull the plug on my Granny back in 2006. I missed the funeral by 4 hours because I was in training. Fu'kin training and they wouldn't let me go because they couldn't decide if they would set me back 3 more months for missing one day of training.

My Granny wouldn't have had it any other way...believe that.

That's tough man. On a side note, they made my dad redo the final month of basic because he fell in a foxhole and hurt his back during drills. They had them going in reverse and they never realized they were so close to a foxhole. The Army is crazy.

Sorry gonzo. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. No matter whose choice it is, the loss is still hurtful, and I hope somehow the good memories bring you peace

The army is crazy, brah. She only wished that I wouldn't "Jump outta them planes". She was the best.
