You get a shooter in the body, it’s getting called. You’d have better luck hitting the hands late if you don’t want a whistle
I still think that generally, the whistle gets swallowed there if a guy brushes by a shooter on a closeout; especially when it clearly had no effect on the shot, but I can't really argue with you. It's in the rulebook.

I’d say we have different ideas of brushing a shooter.

I will say that I believe that as the game is called today, that is a foul.

However.....if I were king of basketball, so many of these "fouls" on 3 point shots including the one we are talking about that occur well after the ball is released where there is nothing but incidental contact, would not be fouls.

I think it's ridiculous how many fouls are being called on 3 point jump shots.

I don’t agree with 4 point shots and wonder why if the foul is after the shot is off and didn’t effect the shot why they even call it?
