Gonzaga game big for Vols

Folks...I watched Xavier hand it to Indiana, with Eric Gordon healthy and playing. They are experienced and well coached, damn good basketball TEAM. From the games I have watched this year Xavier can play with anybody. Their defense is very physical.

I think most of us agree it would be a pretty significant upset if Tennessee knocked them off at their place.

upset's pretty strong, but their defensive style is exactly what they need against our jumpshooters. I think it's a great game for us to begin to understand that being soft is going to get is nowhere.

I'm hoping to be at the Xavier game. I may end up having to go the street route though. And, I know very little about what the ticket market will be, provided there is one.

There are a couple of really good ticket services in Cincinnati. One of them is right downtown. I've used their services in the past and been very pleased with the results.

If you have the names of any suggested ticket services, could you please post them or PM me, Hat?

Thanks!

I think that we've already seen our measuring stick in a very good Texas team...and we fell well short.

I'm glad we saw the end of that stick now and not in March. Our players are good enough to beat Texas. At least we know where we need to be. We will see when we play Memphis.

If home teams typically get 3 points in the spread in football, what do they get in basketball? I just think if Xavier whipped Indiana, that tells me they're pretty tough at home. And we looked awful in our only road game this year. I think Xavier should be favored by at least 6 points.

The Xavier Indiana game was a neutral site if memory serves me correct. Tenn is presently ranked above Xavier, so I don't know how that would be considered an upset, but I would be surprised if Tenn won. If Xavier plays like they did against Indiana they are a top 12 program at least.

Xavier's a solid team with a great floor leader and a lot of outstanding perimeter shooters. Sound like anyone....? They'll give the Vols all they can handle.

In reference to this post - but mainly the statement in bold. But then again look at his username and I guess it all starts to make sense.

I have the same questions. My plan has been to buy on the street, but I have no idea if there will be sellers.
