It’s not just the defense or that he specializes in the secondary, which we suck at. He’s an elite recruiter and it looks like he’s bringing a few more with him.

It’s not a home run, I get that. But he has potential. He was going to be a candidate for a head job very soon. Some FSU people wanted him.

Alabama's Jeremy Pruitt should be second call FSU makes to replace Fisher

Shoop has proven to be a hack over multiple games. Pruitt had really one bad half of football against UT.

Not only that, but look at the players he recruited. He is a great recruiter, and even got Henry to Alabama, where is ran his way to the Heisman trophy, and made UT look stupid in the process.

Is there any point in being preemptively negative about a coach based off maybe 10 minutes of google and a generously applied hypathetical clash of one head coach vs another in their worst losses?

Can't we just appreciate all the incredible contributions to championship teams these men have given, and be excited at the prospect that one of these men could be a great leader & coach? The 100-0 5 time national champion doesn't exist.

To completely dismantle fellow vol fans in the way I see on here is unbecoming and an overall bad look. I for one look forward to the next Top Vol and look forward to next year. Just my 2 cents.

I'm actually not against Pruitt. But if we are comparing Pruitt vs Leach its not even close. Leach not being interviewed at all is unacceptable. Its negligence

Some of you are flat-out delusional.

Despite the fact that:

*people have told you repeatedly that 3 of the 4 coaches in the CFP were 1st time head coaches

*we engaged in Schiano-Gate

*we went 4-8 and winless in the conference for our worst season in team history

*we haven't fielded an adequate defense in the past decade

*we appear to be on the verge of hiring a proven defensive coordinator who has, at three different universities, fielded REGULAR top 20 defenses

You still want to whine and cry. Get over yourselves.

Some of thst was on fulmer and some of that was boosters and admin behind him....it was beginning of what you see now. Just look at past 10 national championships and tell me best defense did not win.

sure , why not. I guess being older means knowing/remembering that fulmer had already been fired before losing to Wyoming, not fired because of losing to Wyoming there ace 👌

Ummmm, he is the DC at Alabama. I believe they play just as many SEC teams as UT, and in a much tougher division of the SEC.

Leach is the only one I agree with we had shot at i just believe they thought best chance is have a brutal defense in this league and well leach doesn't typically remotely have one.defense wins ships.....i think that why that happened

1. Taggart was never an option, he is from Florida and wanted back there
2. Campbell just signed a big extension, Currie screwed that up
3. Leach was NEVER an option. No school will touch him because of his lawsuit. There is a reason he is at WSU and it's not because of coaching
4. Fuente, lol he never wanted to leave v tech
5. Dantonio lol, stupid
6.Wilcox... ha what. He is from California, he isn't leaving, he didnt like it her last time he came
6. Babers... not a good coach
7. Sumlin.. not interested, wanted out of SEC
8 morris... feel free to complain on this one
9. Norvell... not one school called him. Skeletons. Arkansas hired a guy with a losing record over a 11-2 Norvell team, think about that

Hopefully they announce him... and he immediately calls all of the in-state talent and does everything he can to make sure they come to UT. Specifically Cade Mays

Also wasnt that easy back when Bama was in the same place we are currently. I think Pruitt may be a great choice. He definitely knows defense, and obviously our defense sucked eggs for 90% of the season.
