Fulmer's plane landed in Birmingham. Gotta be picking someone up from Tuscaloosa. Auburn has it's own airport so if it was Steele he would've landed there. Tuscaloosa has it's own airport, but it's smaller than Birmingham's.
Expect Pruitt to be introduced tomorrow or Thursday.

We passed on: Miles, Taggert, Norvell, Campbell, LEACH, Fuente, Morris, Sumlim, Dantonio, Babers, Wilcox etc... So landing a coach with no experience is about as Tennessee as it gets.... Sigh :(

Pruitt would be an excellent hire, if we get him after this chit show of a search. For those that say otherwise, I challenge you to list someone / anyone who has a better resume, that we had a realistic chance of getting. I'm betting few if any names are posted.

I tend to agree. Of the 4 names Fulmer scraped from the bottom of the barrel, Pruitt was the one that smelled the least. So yeah, Pruitt > Steele, imo...but also, imo...we fired Jones for potentially another Jones. I will take a wait and see posture now and hope for a top shelf staff.

Passed my azz. The majority of those you listed said they had no interest in the Tn job. Some of you guys are dumber than a rock lol. No offense :)

Yeah we passed on all those....are you people freaking serious......have you no clue some of those were not coming if you offered 8 mil a year and some are not as great as you think they are......and some have not proven much of anything yet....atleast supposedly top two at this point have actual fact to back up they are the best at there respected position right now.....this is madness

Fulmer personally nixed the Brhom and Leach hires. Norvell was a no because of (gambling??) So Taggert doesn't get a call? None of the HEAD COACHES I named got a call? :thud:

Just go to YouTube and search Pruitt by the numbers. It is quite impressive. Took UGA to #1 in pass defense, and was part of 5 national championships. Anyone saying he isnt going to be good, I would ask them to take a look at what Smart accomplished at UGA in 2 seasons. How many UT fans would want that type of success. Not saying Pruitt can have that type of impact, but definitely not saying he can't.

Mike Leach interviewed for the job. He was interested. We passed because Phil doesn't want to admit Currie did something right because he is petty. **** that

Where's that ETSU alum at? I'm a small fish in a big pond as far as a booster goes at UT. At ETSU, I'd be a small fish in a puddle. Unless Kenny Chesney is the new Haslam over there.

Wasn't he there when UT came back from 21-3? Also Shoop was considered a defensive genius a few short years ago. Just give it to Shoop if that's the argument.

Defense wins championships and that's what everyone here is crying for.....lol maybe fulmer know more than some posters on this board
