Gotta love Wiki updaters! :)

I’ll keep an open mind and think he can do a good job here, but I won’t trust him.

I agree.

To see a gump on the Tennessee side line makes me want to puke.

Tennessee will never win with a gump. I would rather have Butch.

Fulmer's plane landed in Birmingham. Gotta be picking someone up from Tuscaloosa. Auburn has it's own airport so if it was Steele he would've landed there. Tuscaloosa has it's own airport, but it's smaller than Birmingham's.
Expect Pruitt to be introduced tomorrow or Thursday.

Don't know why I can't embed the image. Here it is.

Oh boy here we go with the planes again

Let's see. Trust Phil or trust Currie to hire a TENNESSEE coach. Easy decision. Leach was a flashy name. To be honest, we don't need flashy. We need hard nosed, fundamentally sound football, with highly skilled recruits again. That's Tennessee Football. Phillip understands that. Get us the best coach....coach.

How many threads have we had where someone announced definitively that "this is our new coach"?

Someone with a lot of time should list all the false pronouncements we've had to endure for the past few weeks on this site with the names of the members so we know not to believe them again

Pruitt would be an excellent hire, if we get him after this chit show of a search. For those that say otherwise, I challenge you to list someone / anyone who has a better resume, that we had a REALISTIC CHANCE OF GETTING. I'm betting few if any names are posted.

That’s exactly the problem. But, I’d say Mike Leach, Lane Kiffin, Les Miles, and Mike Norvell just to name a few, because they actually have HC experience.

Unless things go sideways (and who could forsee that happening), I expect Tennessee to decide to hire ALABAMA DC Jeremy Pruitt...Pruitt wants $ commitments for support staff but he is excellent leader, coach & recruiter & I think Fulmer sees that....

They screwed up this coaching search so they probably went cheap because all the mistakes cost them a s&$t ton of money. Incompetents running the show! I’d fire them all, top to bottom.

This is idiotic on so many fronts. Because the guy is from Alabama and coaches at Alabama, he is coming to UT with some ulterior motive to benefit his Alabama ties? Who cares where the guy is from if he is coming to UT with intention of winning?

Doesn't Pruitt run a 3-4? Doesn't Phil know what happened the last time we hired a guy from Alabama to run the 3-4?

I'm fine with Pruitt. Given the right staff, I think he can be very successful. His recruiting and defensive experience are positives. Just hire a good offensive coordinator and we should be in good shape.

I'm just ready for this search to be over. The whole thing has been exhausting.
