Saban runs the defense. He hires monkey boys at DC that will just mind the players and make them do what Saban wants.

Then when Saban wins championships he sends his monkey boys out to be head coaches so he can throttle them when he plays them at their new school.

Pretty damn solid plan.

Man reading a lot of this crap about Pruitt not being a great hire for Tennessee says a lot. You guys need to do the research and get your facts right. This is exactly what the Vols need. Phil hit a home run!

I am not gonna be upset at all. Pruitt, Steele and Tucker are all crappy choices. After hiring Dooley, Butch and the almost hire of Schiano, there is nothing that Fulmer can do that would surprise or upset me. I fully expect another garbage hire.

Yes we do. Why? We know for a fact that Pruitt would not be walking into an absolutely loaded roster and the best stable of RBs in the country. Pruitt also isnt walking into a job that literally guaranteed top 5-7 recruiting class every year.

If he comes here, Pruitt isnt Kirby Smart.

Not a Steele fan myself. If he is the one then Phil is going to loose some luster on that crown. According to the polls Pruitt is the fan pick.

I hope whoever gets it is successful. However, TA&M would not hire a Texas man, OSU not Michigan man, Auburn not a bama man... Only we would do this... And do it again? Phil, you were there in the 70's.
Sorry, but Nobama. I loved that bumper sticker for obvious reasons and it had nothing to do with politics

Hiring Steele is a fireable offense, in my opinion. There is nothing appealing about him. Yeah, he’s a good recruiter but so are all the other candidates. He’s an old, overrated DC. He had one mediocre year and one decent year at Auburn. Not to mention having an absolutely abysmal head coaching track record.

I honestly like the guy if we can’t get Pruitt and if he’s on board with bring Tee with him I’m even more happy.

At this point we need people who love SEC football and more importantly VOLS football. I know it doesn’t always translate to winning but I’d rather root the **** out of it sir one of our own than Sandler up the wagons to somebody else’s alum and HOPE and that is all we would be done no with any coach... hope we can see the pride these men have for UT shine
