we will benefit more from the jet lag of traveling 3 time zones over more than the weather in my opinion.

It should play in our favor, they went through it in camp so we should be able to hack it.

Looks like night at the Boise Va Tech game and players keep on leaving the field with cramps. Washington has got nothing on Knoxville when it comes to humidity.

DC can actually be worse. The whole area is filled-in swampland. I lived up there for a couple of years, and while the summers don't last as long as they do down here, when it's bad it's brutal. Worse than Knoxville and even Atlanta.

I just can't see the heat being that a big a factor with a 7 pm game. If only we could kick off at 4.

I am a little concerned about the humidity. We have warm days out west but if you aren't used to the humidity it can really wear you down. One thing Oregon does have is a lot of depth. This should help with fatigue since we rotate in a lot of guys. My wife and I are flying into Nashville and driving to Knoxville. I was hoping someone could give me a suggestion for a good bbq place not too far off the interstate. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Anyway, looking forward to my first SEC football game. We are very excited and confident about our team this year but you never know how a team will react to 100K+, humidity & cross country trip. Hopefully both teams play hard and nobody on either side gets seriously hurt. Now that each team has their cupcakes behind them, lets get ready for some real football.

LOL it rains in Oregon just about every day!

Not that it has any bearing on this game -- but, actually, it's much drier in the Willamette Valley in the summer than it is in Knoxville. Grass turns dead brown if you don't water it; thunderstorms are rare, and the humidity is generally low.

Wet is not necessarily a great thing for Oregon, with all their hand-off trickery.

When I worked there in 2006-2007 it seemed to rain everyday from Dec - April

Yeah. That's when it rains. It's not like that all year long, though. Summers are very dry and pretty hot (in fact, it can get hotter in the Willamette Valley than it does there -- humidity is a different story).

not sure at this point why anyone would be excited about a "humid" game. we are down to about 68 scholarship players this saturday and we are thin on the dl. the "humidity" won't favor us anymore just because we are from "there."

and anyhow, it will be nearly dark when the game gets rolling. temperature and humidity won't even be a factor...for any team.

88* for the high with 71% humidity.. with a chance of rain.. LETS GO VOLS
