Went to the Notre Dame board to see what they were saying. It is on lock down not accepting any new users. You can see the thread titles though and it seems that he and another football player whose name I didn't recognize were caught cheating. One of the threads even said "Football players should be allowed to cheat"
Yeah, because he definately saw Golson getting kicked out.
University of Cincinnati's ranking in the 2013 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, 139.
Kiel was a top quarterback recruit entering college. He initially committed to Indiana and then LSU before backing out and deciding to attend Notre Dame. Kiel wound up behind Golson and Tommy Rees on the depth chart and decided to leave the school in the spring.
Infante says Kiel could still be eligible to play for Notre Dame this season even if Cincinnati does not release him from his scholarship. He would have to be willing to pay his own way for a year in that scenario.
Not what I'm seeing
From ESPN:
Gunner Kiel could transfer back to Notre Dame without much issue | Larry Brown Sports
Given how he likes to quit on everyone time and time again, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he goes back to Notre Dame. The problem is... I know some players wouldn't care as long they win but personally, why would any of those guys want to take the field with him? The prima donna already bailed on them to play for another team because he's a cry baby. He took his ball and went home. I wouldn't want to bust my ass to play along someone who quits when they don't get their way. I wouldn't want to rely someone who has shown they're not reliable and have no loyalties to anyone but themselves.
Gunner Kiel cares about one person and one person only, he sure has heck didn't care about his teammates when he walked out on them at Notre Dame. He could have been happy to be part of the Fighting Irish and cheered them on. Instead he pouted and made it about himself. Quite frankly, screw that guy... I wouldn't want him as my teammate and I would not welcome him back. I bet Notre Dame doesn't even want to mess with him at this point. They saw his history of backing out on Indiana, LSU and walking away from Notre Dame. To reacquire him, he'd have to leave Cincinnati. If I'm Notre Dame, I take a flyer.
