If he isnt going to start or get a lot of reps and he has already graduated, why would you hate on him for going somewhere that he could play and start immediately? Seems like a smart decision IMO

Dude has thrown 41 touchdowns to 20 picks as a freshman and junior. That's 21-10 and 20-10 per season if you split it in half. Dobbs threw 2tds 6ints as a freshman and 9tds 6ints as sophomore. Some people here are now calling for a heisman campaign and you're talking about a guy sucking who has put up better numbers times 4 while also leading his team to an undefeated regular season and championship appearance. Okay then... you must be smokin' that dank.

This is my favorite part of the ESPN article on Golson leaving.

In the regular-season finale against USC, Golson was benched in the 49-14 loss.

After the bowl game and all spring, Kelly said he would hold a competition to determine a starter for the 2015 season.

"The decision on playing time will take care of itself," Kelly said after the spring game last month. "They can't control that. All they can control is what's in their purview and that is the fundamentals of what we've asked them to work on, and the rest they can't really worry about. It's not their call."

Two weeks before the spring game, Kelly remarked he would take his two quarterbacks over Ohio State's trio of Cardale Jones, J.T. Barrett and Braxton Miller.

"In terms of depth," Kelly said, "I don't know if anybody has a better situation than we do in terms of the two quarterbacks we have."

Lol at Brian Kelly.

Dude brags about how playing time will take care of itself and there is nothing the QB's can do about their being competition. He would go on to brag about the depth after inflating his own ego about the type of power he has over his QB's. Turns out Golson could so something about it as he's now gone and Kelly's depth with it.

Bahaha.

he was garbage last yr. im not talking about his other seasons. He was ass last yr and lost his job. Thats the bottom line. 22 turnovers is hard to do.

That'd about guarantee a win, maybe even for Kentucky. Everett Golson led Power 5 players in turnovers in 2014 (22 - all in final 10 games)

Depends which Golson shows up. I'd rather him go out west or somewhere we don't have to see him. USCjr would probably like to have him though. Idk if UGA would.

The article I read said schools that might be interested in him are UF, Bama, FL St. and LSU.

UGA's QB situation is unsettled. I think he could step in and start there (and he wouldn't have to do much other than give it to Chubb). That'd be a good spot for him.

I don't want him in the SEC either.

14 INTs isn't horrible when you're throwing 29 TDs. The 8 fumbles on the other hand, is a bigger deal. The fact that all 22 TOs were in a 10 game span also raises some eyebrows. Overall though, I don't think he's a "questionable QB." He'd easily be the best QB on the roster IMO.

I agree. Article says their a favorite though...strange.

One article says schools interested, without UGA. One says he likes USCjr and UGA. That's the difference I guess.

I thought they had an elite QB recruit? Or is he 2016? Either way I hope he goes away. He had one epically crappy year but he's still got talent.
