*This week is a mock game week for us. We’re game-planning as if we’re on a normal week, and then we’ll start it over on Sunday.
*Alex Golesh: If we could play a bunch of guys at WR, that would be awesome. I feel like we’re two-deep, 2.5-deep. The hope is to have seven to eight that can go. I feel like we do at this point.
*I feel really good with Princeton Fant and Jacob Warren at TE. I think they’ve taken really good steps. That next spot going in, we’ve challenges Miles Campbell. In a lot of ways, he’s grown up. In a lot of ways, he still has a long way to go.
*We’re approaching it like we’re going to have Bru McCoy, and then we’ll adjust as we need to if we don’t. Really good football player. He’s fit right into our culture. Really dynamic, super grateful to be here and have another chance to do this.
*We’ve grown and evolved in a lot of ways. We’ve got to continue to expand for nationally. We’re drastically different from when we left the previous place two years ago, and even from the bowl game at the end of last season.
*Jaylen Wright just went through practice with us. He looks like he has fresh legs — fresher than the rest of us. He was full-go today. He looked good. He’s ready to go.
*Dylan Sampson is a unique clone of Jabari Small. Elite vision. He’s a natural running back. He’s not big, but he’s as fast as any RB in this league is going to be.
*Best thing for both LTs is that they had competition throughout camp. They’re both inexperienced, but they’re different. You go in and kind of let it sort out as they go. We’ll see who we have more sync with. If it’s both, awesome. We’re deeper than we were a year ago.

It’s a fine video, but why the random Manning-Kent clip? Seems out of place.

Also, call me jaded, but I’m over seeing 10+ year-old clips in new hype videos. I want new highlights. We used to be great. Let’s be great again with this group of guys. Tired of living in the past.

Coach Golesh is a mover & sharker for the VOLS. What's not to like? GBO

A sharker you say? Close friend of McElwain, by chance?

Glad I'm not the only one thinking this

Glad to hear him speaking well of the tight ends would love see them utilized more this year if they could combine for 800 yards or so it would really take some pressure off of that receiving core.

I love the video as is, but I can imagine, in place of the Kent clip, a faster-paced montage of old highlights, maybe 4 or 5, all in black and white like he did, and then a fade to black, narration “We’re tired of living in the past…” boom, full color clips from last season (much like the video actually is) and I’d really like the announcer from the South Carolina game included “It’s jab, jab, haymaker”

Then maybe Heup saying “this is just the tip of the iceberg of who we are” at the end.
