Golden will not return next season (confirmed)

So you've got his father giving one story. He never claimed his son did nothing wrong, just that it wasn't academically related.

Who is giving the other side of the story? Not coach martin. Not the University. Not the Athletic Dept.

VQ is playing a recording of the late Paul Harvey tonight at 9pm. tune in...

He will give us.... "the rest of the story".

What I was told, I took at face value because I trusted the source. The reason for the transfer I was told was slightly different or an incomplete version of what is currently being reported.

Weather or not my trust in the source was was relayed in my early posts is up for debate. I am human, and sometimes personal bias can reflect through relaying information.

If we are going to get technical, it is the coach who regardless of the situation is responsible for kicking a player off the team

Thanks for the weather report. Unfortunately, you are incorrect.

I'll take his dad's word over these anonymous claims that are being treated as the Gospel.

Cecil Newton says hi and thank you for supporting the dad's of athletes and taking their word at face value over all others. :)

But seriously though, I don't know who is or isn't telling the truth and I don't pretend to, but taking a dad's word at face value isn't always the most prudent approach either. Like others have said, he could very well be protecting his son or even have false information himself.

Bryce & Arthur's Dad said he'll keep a place open for Trae at K State.

probably...

just trying to "lawyer" my way out of some of my original wording

Deny----Deny---- Deny!

If caught Red Handed---Deny----Deny----Deny!

From the same Clinton Handbook where his 11th Commandment is found:
"Thou Shalt Not Comfort Thy Staff with Thy Rod"

Sounds to me like Martin is protecting Trae and they are going to agree to part ways without the University having to boot him from school. And again, it's not "grades" according to sources. It's academic in nature, but not "grades."

From what I've read, he doesn't have what he needs to transfer into another school. That would mean grades. Time will tell.

I haven't read anything that said he had grade concerns. There was one quote saying he wasn't close to graduation. Most juniors aren't. I know I wasn't.

Golden leaving has no connection to grades. CM will regret losing his PG. Vols basketball is not making any progress. Makes me sick.

Great thread all around. The OP NYTERP and Vol Nation providing 5 star***** (Daniel Hamilton) reading material on the Golden issues at hand.

Barton is a key piece right now and could mitigate the Golden damage to a certain degree. This is a hit for Tennessee BUT I expect movement in this bear market (loss of Golden) with a rebound to Bull market status again. This has been a very volatile stretch for Vol Nation. A Bull market with the Stokes & Jordy news and then the bear market with the loss of Golden. Bulls and Bears will always fight so Vol Nation must stay optimistic. You arguably could have 1 of the best threesomes in America with Stokes, Jordy & Maymon.

In my most humble of opinions the ante is now raised on stock riser and explosive potential Mr. Hubbs. This exciting PTPer must come into the show and rise to unprecedented levels.

Great players simply play and if the Vols have to take a committee approach periodically at the PG position then that will be the teams inevitable fate. My point is Hubbs may have to learn to be more multi dimensional in the best interest of the team. RH will have to blow up for Tennessee to make the Final4 assuming Maymon is a beast which I think he will be. A Bull run to Texas Stadium is still possible. The Big 3 will have to become the Big 4.

Doubters will persist but in my opinion hope springs eternal for the Vols in 2013-14. Some pieces need to come together. Comparatively speaking from a national perspective Vols still look strong. I am hoping Eli Carter doesn't waive in this year at Florida. Carter in BD's system could turn Fla into a Final4 contender.

JMHO and thanks for the interesting thread.

The part I don't understand is that is if it is plagiarism is why arête players required to submit all papers to be proofread by their tutors. Especially, golden who supposedly had the same issue before.

Buncha bull in here.

Hmmmm...new development. Just heard on the radio that Trae possibly was romantically involved with a UT staff member. This may be the real reason. More to come apparently....SIAP

Very interesting...

Apparently the staff member was fired today and has not responded to the allegations and didn't show for any meetings. It was rumored that she was involved with "student athletes" and Trae was one of them. She attempted to resign but the administration wouldn't take it due to the ongoing investigation. She didn't show for a meeting concerning it (non-compliant) and was fired.

What's the big deal? Trae is an adult, and so is she. As long as she is not married, who cares. And I seriously doubt it was from the ladies basketball staff. Don't see a problem here.

I think I heard she was in academic affairs...Seriously. No pun intended.
