Going to the UK game. Any advice?

I will be cheering for the Vols in Lexington Saturday night. While I’ve been to Lexington many times, I have never been to a game there. For some reason it has always been a game I have wanted to go to.

Any advice?

Where to park?

Where to eat?

Does Kentucky have any game day activities worth watching?

Parking is pricey but worth it. There is some frat houses near the stadium that will park you for around 60 bucks but the walk is worth it to avoid the long walk

Parking at the southside Church of Christ is convenient and close. I'm not sure of the cost and there is no place to eat. Make sure you dress warmly, that stadium will freeze you.

Lexington is without a doubt the coldest stadium I have ever been to...I was there in 1981 after the ice storm and the wind was whipping around that place.....You were litterly stuck to your seat..Just a miserable experince and on top of that We lost...Gahhhh!

It’s not Miami that’s for sure. Unless you’re in Miami, Ohio…

Losing would definitely make it colder. I hope to do a lot of cheering to keep the blood warm.

I don't either and I was at that game too. It was hard to breathe just sitting down. If you were gonna give America a enema you'd stick the hose in Gainsville. Jacksonville is just as bad.

Good idea! I love distillery tours but I’ve never been to any of the bourbon distilleries.

I only went with the band, and it was the most bitter fan base I'd ever seen. They weren't angry, they weren't mean, they were just bitter.

Okay so I live here in Lexington, it’s a great city.

1. Park at Glendover Elementary $10 (it’s a shortish walk through the arboretum and you’ll avoid traffic.

2. Places to eat (Ramsey’s, Carsons, Charlie Browns, Drakes)

3. Things to do (Buffalo Trace is about 30 min outside of town, tours are probably booked already). Drive over to Keeneland and check it out, no Live racing but you should be able to get in and explore the grounds.

4. Places to drink (Mr. Brews Taphouse, Country Boy Brewing, Mirror Twin, LexLive is neat and has bowling etc next to Rupp Arena.

People keep talking about the cold, game time temp is 50 degrees, it’s not that bad.
