Going to be very interesting to see how the numbers play out.

People have been saying there is no one currently committed that we will tell to walk or greyshirt (me included has said this).

However, there is no other option.

Assuming Lanier, Richardson, and Clear are Vol locks, that leaves us at 22 committed prospects, which means 4 spots are still open.

People we are in great shape for:

Morris
Jackson
Mackey
Wright
Dawson
Moore
Rome
etc...

And then you have the rumors and then the rumors that have been aided by JB's recent comments of a couple of big players Dooley is in on and you have to wonder how the class ends up.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the last 4 will be: Wright, Mackey, Dawson, and Jackson/Moore. I really want Moore because he is a very special talent.

That would leave us with 12 4 stars (assuming that Randolph, Smith, and Williams do not get the bump).

This is going to be a great class!

I completely agree and I think there is a great chance Randolph, Smith and Worley will get a bump. Now til Feb will be fun to watch.

I've quit worrying about the numbers, like I said in another thread the staff knows what they are doing. They will make the numbers work & fill the slots with the best players they can find that want to be Vols.

hilarious if they make player of the year a 3 star, will say more about them than the player...don't think they will take that chance to be that irrelevant

Worley won't, Farrell doesn't like him.

I think he will get a little bump. Maybe not to a four star but a bump up to a higher three star. In the end though it doesn't matter what the kid is rated. It matters in how we develop him.

I see us taking our 26, the adding a couple prep / Juco guys like Dunaway and Johnson. Also seems like K Zach Sharp would be open to a greyshirt.

If he doesn't get the bump to a 4*, he'll be the first 3* player ever to be Gatoraide POY. If the staff likes him, I like him. Although he had some very good receivers on his team. There were a lot of short passes the receivers had great YAC.

Maybe so, but it wasn't because of the kickoff distance!

Depends on how you measure distance... If you consider the distance it went up in the air then it was because of distance. But if you completely ignore that little fact (which equates to hangtime), which you obviously did, then it had nothing to do with distance...

I promise you they arent as good as the ones he will be passing to on this team, so you cannot use that against him.

Hubbs doesn't think he gets bump. says they rarely revisit rankins on EE players.
