Names Dan, I’ve been a fan all my life (27 now) but I’ve never been to a game so I picked the BYU game for my first. I’m tryin to keep my tickets under 100 each, so I’d like to know some of the best and most enjoyable/convenient sections for this price range. Right now I’m looking at Q and XX2. Also, tailgating reccommendations would be appreciated, thanks and GO VOLS!

Don’t really mind the heights, but can you see the Jumbotron from xx2?

Feel for ya Dan but happy for you and hope your first trip is all that you hope it is. If it's true "Bleedin’ orange since the day I’s born", Your life will never be the same. Get your finances in order because you will be back wanting more !

BTW....even tho it's 6:00 pm game, suggest you look at west side and not east, It can be a killer temperature wise !

Arrive early, pretend to be a scalper and attempt to buy a pair from another scalper as cheap as he will let them go. Tell him you will be back to buy four more after you go to the ATM. It works 82% of the time if you have that magic charm. After you get your tickets go blend in with the students on the fifty-yard line at the upper deck. Airplane bottles brother! GBO!

XX2 are okay but not great seats, IMO. However i prefer to avoid the corners of the end zones. Ignore the nosebleed comments. Most who make them havent seen a game from the upper deck. If you can get the lower half of the upper decks the seats are better than a large majority of the lower deck for seeing the game. If you are fortunate enough to ger the "box" seats which is the first few rows of the upper deck you will love it. These seats are the absolute besr place to witness a game. No seat in the stadium provides a better view.

With all that said; the worst seat in the house is still better than watching on television

"Lol" is all I can say to that one.

There's a reason that the tickets in the nose bleeds are dirt cheap

They aren't bad seats, but they definitely are not better than the lower level.

For the money, some of the best seats in the house have backs and are in that north endzone. So much more room up there if you ain’t skeert.

Also the uppermost 4-5 rows have an awning above them for shade or cover from rain.

Plus you’re looking right at the jumbotron from that side.

XX, YY, ZZ is where i usually aim

Cap and sunglasses for the sun and a poncho in case the drunk behind you decides to relieve himself on you or pukes on you. If it was the Bama game I would suggest a good knife also

Depending on what you value...

If you want to see the game unfold, the plays happen and how they happen the lower area of the upper deck is better than any of the lower deck end zone seats and most if the sideline seats.

On the other hand if you are there to socialize and get a better look at the folks on the sidelines then the lower deck is better. And you have the added bonus of telling your friends you dont have "nose bleed" seats.

I have sat in most of the sections in the stadium including the 50 yard line in the upper and lower decks. For me watching the plays happen from the first couple of rows in the upper deck are without a doubt the best seats in the house.
