God Blessed Tennessee with Butch Jones

We all know that "L"'s suck. However, I personally can stomach them if I know that the coaches and players are giving their all. Right now I feel that CBJ and his staff have given their all to date, and I am grateful for that. In a month or so the players will have their chance to step up to the plate. If everyone gives their all, then we will wind up with a few more W's than expected and those L's will seem less of a poison pill as they were under CDD. Go Vols!

I don't look forward to the first time Tennessee gets beat down this season. But when it happens, it will hopefully have the effect of waking some fans up to reality.

There's been so many over-the-top posts this summer.

Not sure why so many read a post and take it as gospel either.

If God blessed us with CBJ than who gave us Dooley? Didn't God give us Dooley also or were we being punished for some great sin committed and we had to experience trials and tribulations. Does God sit around in his busy schedule and hand out coaching decisions? If so I did not know that. Somebody start a thread God gave us Obama and see where that goes.

There's also been so many " don't be excited " posts this summer. Being excited about the future doesn't go hand in hand with thinking we don't take some lumps along the way. People like yourself obviously are not looking at the big picture. Getting "beat down" as you say, might be part of the bumpy road ahead, but I got a feeling most UT fans will still be happy to jump in and take a ride with Butch Jones regardless of how bumpy the road is this year. GBO!

I've have the fortune of being around a lot of high quality leaders in my life and when you see it, you know it. Butch Jones is a leader, he is a strategist and he knows how to coach and win football games.

Of course, we need to wait until the season to crown him, but this team is going to win more games than they should. They are going to shock one or two teams this year and next year, it will get even better. By the third year, we will be competing for the SEC East again.

I live in Cincinnati and I've seen the man first hand, heard how much he was loved at UC and I work with a former UC football player. The guy can't say enough nice things about Butch Jones. He said he is a players coach, always encouraging, pushing, and demanding excellence. I couldn't be happier that he is our coach.

Here's where I disagree. Why can't we make that splash the first year? Why year three? That's the norm. Ole Miss kicked A their first season. Candy made a splash their first year. Sperman Meyer ran the table his first year. Why can't Tennessee make that same splash with this staff. Butch uses the word seamless when he describes this transition to UT. I'm telling you guys mark my words Butch Jones knows something about this team we don't. I think he knows he's got a pretty special team if they just follow the process. Somethings brewing on RockyTop and its about ready to blow. (damn I love this Orange koolaid)
