This is a big deal. I know JG was off and there are things we need to clean up. But this is not a normal season. This is out of the gate, 10-game SEC schedule. It's hammer time. And we are 1-0. If you thought normal seasons have parody and tie-breakers near the end, just wait for the madness by the end of this season. This game is huge and 5 times more important than normally. There ain't any easy games this year. For anyone.

We did good!

Considering SC got 3 full scrimmages and UT didn't.. I thought UT played pretty well. How many practices did the team miss and how many players like Wayna did not get to participate in.. Sham was missed tonight but it was done good experience gained for the DB/safetys. I'm proud of them. GoVols beat Mizzo!

JG is more like a Pinto but that Pinto got us from A to B tonight so I’ll take it!

Anyone know why Chandler didn’t get the ball as much as Gray?
He seemed to get 6-8 yards every touch.

just checked. 13 for 86 yards. Gray was 12 for 40.

We’ve haven’t had any scrimmages in a sense this was the damn spring game. We are talented and can win things in the not too distant future. Pruitt isn’t arrogant enough to be oblivious to his errors and that of the team. Overall I like the way we are going

Was this the only game you watched today?

Alabama had a very easy time with Mizzou.
UGA with their 4th string QB rolled to 4 td win over Arkansas.
Arkansas and Mizzou are better than South Carolina...
I've watched all 3 teams play today.
It's a win...yes.

Purely based on that, it's good. Big picture...no. It was not good at all, because we are showing the same deficiencies that have plagued the team for 3 years...

If you say so. It was a 3-point line. We dealt with kids missing practice, being quarantined, and not making the trip. We had a bunch of guys missing in action tonight but found a way. It wasn't always pretty, but I'll take a win every time.

I'll take our day over LSU's. :)

LSU also lost half their team to the NFL, and I wouldn't want to play the Pirate week 1 of this season.

Its a W, but I'm not ok with how we performed.

I didn't say I was happy with the way we played. If we don't play better we'll lose a lot of games this year. But I'll take the win and hope we improve every week.

And LSU lost a lot to the NFL, but they were 14.5-point favorites.

You know I'd like to be an optimist, but I doubt it'd work out.

I mean out of the teams we played this year, besides UF and Bama....who looked much better than us? Every team struggled in ways today besides Bama. So I agree with you. Take the win and just hope to improve. It's wide open, a lot of people stunk it up today
