Yesterdays passage of the Global Warming Solutions Act (AB 32) in California, gives a huge momentum effort passing a national global warming cap according to environmental defense.
Speaking of Global Warming, does anybody else think it was an awful waste of fossil fuels for those BERKELEY fans to fly and/or drive across the country to watch a football game???
Michael Crichton wrote a pretty good book about global warming or the lack thereof. It's called State of Fear. It's a good read and brings up some interesting points.

If you read State of Fear, he quotes a lot of scientific journals and serious research articles. Crichton writes some outlandish stuff, but it generally has pretty decent scientific background to it. If you read his notes at the end of books, he'll write about the leaps in logic or technology that he used to make books like Jurassic Park possible. State of Fear is more realistic and does a good job of exposing a lot of the myths about global warming.
