The NCAA is allowing schools to go over the 85 scholarship limit if it is a P.S.U. player transferring.

He has never said we were at 85. We have to take Jr's and below thanks to the SEC rules. We need help at LB and K and thats what he is going after.

The only sucky part is that rule is just for one year. So next year they have to be back under 75. The perfect scenario is getting Jr's who go pro after the yr is over.Honestly if we can land their kicker snd one LB or just the kicker then that would greatly benefit us.

Yes ! CDD should show interest because if he doesn't it will seem(too Negas) that we aren't doing everything possible to get better, but CDD doesn't want to poach like this in this situation. (I hope)

I seriously doubt it. Dooley knows he needs to win this year, and if that means poaching a PSU player or two he won't hesitate. Its kill or be killed in college football. You might not like it, buts thats just the way it is.

I wonder how many we really got a shot at pulling.I thought the first few days they will pull together but then the reality will set in.The ones with a shot at the league will start really looking around.

Can we please stop with this? I have seen way too much written about how "dirty" it is to "poach" players.
Universities and coaches use these kids up for free. They often give up their health and their eligibility for the profit of a coach who is allowed to leave without even addressing his team.
Let's please not forget that Penn State and Joe Paterno, on top of the inhuman neglect they showed toward children, let the players players down.

If they want to stay, let them stay! I would personally feel betrayed by JoPa and the promises of "the cleanest program in sports" and listen to anyone selling a football team as great as UT's

AJ and Maggitt most likely won't be passed. I'm not confident that Lathers will be 100% when he gets back though.

If UT would land Hodges from PSU, he would start immediately at a LB position, IMO. He is one of the best LBs in the country.

I'm not claiming to have sources or any inside info whatsoever, but if I had to guess we will get one of the 3 LBs we offered scholarships too (or maybe one of the TEs). Maybe we'll get really lucky and land 2 of them or even Redd, but realistically anything more than 1 LB or 1 TE probably isn't happening.

Man if we could add just one LB and if Donte gets in.Our #1 D SHOULD be able to stay with every one on our schedule,just need roll players to contribute some.

With his size and speed, I'm not worried about him either if he can develop. I'll take a kid that has "Barkevious Mingo" potential all day.

I think very few PSU players will leave, the team solidarity psyche can be very strong.
