Team 118
Glass half full - This team is only two plays away from being 4-1

Glass half empty - This team blew a 10 point lead and 9 point lead in back to back games that define your season.

Recruiting
Glass half full - We have recruited well under Jones with talent that has made an immediate impact on the field.

Glass half empty - This staff had 2 recruiting classes to prevent this debacle that has become our offensive line. They failed. QB looks to be an area that we have not recruited well and WR looks overrated.

Mike Bajakian
Glass half full - Bajakian is hampered by a terrible offensive line. We can't run because of the line, and he is afraid to throw into the middle of the field because of the constant pressure that is on Worley will cause him to throw picks (and it has).

Glass half empty - uninspired play calling and poor, poor execution has caused us football games. From the line jumping offsides in critical moments, to poor blocking, poor QB/RB exchanges, red zone interceptions, 3 and outs.

Justin Worley
Glass half full - He has improved greatly and has been tough, taken hits and almost won the UGA game for us by himself.

Glass half empty - Regardless of the reason, he does not run. By my count he has 3 interception in the endzone this year and including fumbles, has 7 turnovers. It isn't all his fault because he is constantly pressured, but that errant throw last night that led to an INT in the endzone likely just lost us the game. It was a poor throw and poor decision. He had an opportunity to redeem himself in the final drive and threw another INT.

Offensive Line
Glass half full - I got nothing

Glass totally empty - This line has shown basically 0 improvement. They might actually be getting worse. All I need to tell you is that a walk on that tore his ACL 4 weeks ago is being considered to be put back out there because everyone else is so bad. It really is unbelievable.

Butch Jones
Glass half full - A dynamic motivator, recruiter, manager and personality that players love. Jones has the will to win.

Glass half empty - Jones may be too loyal to some of his assistant coaches that aren't cut out for SEC football. It may be his downfall in Knoxville. Fulmer was always as good as his OC. Dooley built an amazing offense in 2012, but had a failure DC and it confirmed his demise. Jones can't make the same mistake. The history is right in front of him and made by his predecessors. He can't be doomed to repeat it.

Defense
Glass half full - This defense is a top defense in the country in my opinion. Our offenses 3 and outs and poor performance has given teams great field position and made our defense have to be on the field much more often than they should. The fact that they have played so well despite that is amazing.

Glass half empty - Nothing bad I can say.

2 recruiting classes??? Really one. Jones was hired in December you can't expect to land elite recruits in 2 months. It takes 2 years to build relationships with recruits. The 2015 class is actually the 2nd class.

I don't buy what you are saying. He recruited a top 20 class in that time with sleeper studs like Cam Sutton in there. Our offensive line is SO bad that if we recruited and coached them on the level of Kentucky...that is right...Kentuky...then we would be vastly better at that position.

So basically, this team screwed up just one position, but they REALLY screwed it up.

Pretty much the entire SEC has a top 20 class.

That still doesn't justify why our offensive line is worse than teams like...oh I don't know....just pick a power conference team and they are better.

We have a middle of the road Mountain West offensive line. Whether 2 months or 2 years to recruit, it should be a lot better. They have been coached and developed for 2 years.

There is absolutely 0 excuse for this. None.

Half full here. CBJ has said all along to be patient because this is going to take time. What he is doing in recruiting is unheard of considering the dumpster fire that has been TN football for several years now. I know everyone has grown impatient and wants Ws but you have to trust and stand by our coach and let this play out. It was a tough loss but everyone is acting so surprised. The majority of posters on here seemed to understand we are a young team and knew it was going to be a tough season with the inexperience and lack of depth. Most were saying we would most likely end 5-7 or 6-6. Now everyone seems like they are completely surprised and that we should be SEC East champions this year. Y'all need to just calm down and let the coaches work. Don't let your negativity cost us recruits. Calling for coaches to be fired already is crazy as hell and embarrassing to be frank.

Half Full! Go Vols!!

In the Okla homo game 2 plays cost us the game. In the UGA game, 1 play cost us the game. In the Florida game, 1 play cost us the game.

We are very close to getting over the top.

I truly expected us to lose yesterday because until I see us beat Florida, it will be hard for me to believe it. They have us mentally and that is all there is to it.

We are better than them in most years but they still get us.

Gotta get over that mental hump

This is simple. We have reached a point where wins are a must not an option. Who cares about blame assignment? We hope it is CBJ. The Florida loss does not define the season but it slowed the momentum to a halt. Volnation the team and the staff lost more than s game. Mark it support will wan for the rest of the season because we lost hope!

We haven't had SEC talent and depth on both sides of the ball since 2006. A.J. Johnson is the only SR who would see playing time for the elite SEC teams. Blair being a possible bust and Gilliam getting hurt hasn't made things better. We are just trying to play spoiler this season. Next season look for 7-5.

I still believe in Coach Jones. I do think if this season isn't ended with a bowl win (music city or whatever) a serious consideration must be made about assistants. I feel like the more experience we get the better for these young guys but Butch really is on the clock. I give any new coach 3 seasons to fix it and if he doesn't then we can call for his head.

I think it would take something dramatic for Jones to cut loose one of his guys.

My glass is empty because this team will drive you to drinking, but it will be half full by game time Saturday.
