The dumbest thing about the BCS is that it has suddenly vaulted "winning a national championship" into everybody's expectations. Things didn't break Tommy Tuberville's way, and he's out of a job; they didn't break Mark Richt's way, and he's on the hot seat; but they did break Urban Meyer's way, and now he's gunning for his third national championship in four years.
The goal should be to win multiple SEC championships. That's what you can control. If you do that, you'll be in the national picture often enough.
