I saw a post earlier that says we should give more carries Lennon Creer but IMO what we should do is give more carries to both Creer and Hardesty. Creer has proven that he can break it any time he touches it and Hardesty has proven that he can run hard, downhill, and can also break a some long runs. I'm not saying we should cut Foster out of our offense all together but just give equal carries to the three and see who produces. It's stupid to give more carries to a player just because he's a senior or more "experienced" and instead you should give it to the best player which UT is clearly not doing.

Forget it, you'll get force fed foster for the rest of the year. He's this season's ryan karl.

Yeah, he's so awful. I bet he's like 75th on the all time rushing list. I bet he doesn't even average 5.5 YPC through 5 games.

Hardesty and Creer aren't utilized at all. We don't let Hardesty ever run, and Creer isn't even allowed to return kicks.

Foster should be used as a 3rd down back in passing situations. Hardesty should be the starter and Creer should be his backup. Cartervol you are correct we will get Foster force fed down our throats until he breaks the record.

Our o-line and foster aren't a good marriage. They can't open a hole and when they do foster can't hit it fast enough.

he also is slow as anything and has a fumbling problem

He isn't slow. He's not the quickest, but he's not slow. His fumbling "problem" is only an issue because of the inopportune times he fumbles. His ball security isn't always good, but I don't see how people discredit him as a capable all-purpose back.

A quality RB is more than being a speedster that can break a big play every now and then. There's a reason little guys like the kid at LSU aren't every down starting backs.

How many TDs does Arian have through 5 games this year?

He has no TDs, but he's got about 25% of our total yardage. Hardesty has been our goal line back. Anyway, we've only got like 11 TDs all season.

I want my starting TB to have some TDs 5 games into a season.

Why? Can't really put a number on something. I'd like us to win, which would mean touchdowns. More touchdowns mean they're spread around some more. How many more TDs did Jerome Bettis get over Willie Parker? Would you argue that Parker wasn't a good back because Bettis got all the goal line carries?

Not a very strong point with a team that rotates 3 backs, and hasn't scored all that much.

It isn't any worse than people throwing up this YPC stuff. He has most of the carries and no TDs, seems a good point to me.

I do, too. I also want my offense to score more than 13 against Northern Illinois. Arian can score TDs. He had 14 last year. He had 7 at this point last season.

Foster has gotten no carries inside the 10?

Gotta look at where he's getting the carries. If he gets down the field, then we spell him while others put it in. Should we start Hardesty then use Foster at the goal line? Then we can argue that Foster must be better because the only yard line that counts is the goal line. The other 99 are unimportant.

Put me on the Hardesty and Creer bandwagon. I just think Foster is too slow at the point of attack and is not generally a threat to take it all the way.

Take away the UAB game and Gerald Jones has zero TDs. I don't think benching him would be a good idea.

Hardesty's TDs against UCLA were both from outside the 10. I am pretty sure Foster got some carries inside the 10 against UCLA.

I just think it is a bit in appropriate to pick on him for not getting into the endzone when pretty much every player on the team has the same problem.

They've been spread around. I'd like more TD's, too, but to say one back needs to sit because he hasn't gotten any for a team that's scored 11 times is silly.

Foster is a more than capable back. Hardesty ran 7 times for 20 yards against N. Illinois. He's a good back, and I like him, but I think if Foster is playing well, like he was Saturday, why pull him just to spread the touches? Stephens was playing pretty well, too. Should we have pulled him for a little while to play Coleman?

If it's working, don't bother with it. If Foster were rushing 30 times for 50 yards, there'd be an issue, but he's not. He had some fine runs, despite poor line play.
